Back to my mom's place

Day 6 of 16

I went back tomy mom's house yesterday. All his cousins are home, so, Gordon wont be lonely. He had a great time playing with their toys and running up and down the staircase. My brother's elder boy is sick. But when i asked him to go dig the PSP from inside my knitting bag..... VOILA!!!! NO MORE SICK LORRRR.... where got sick, lolz.

I let him play with it for dunno how many hours. Malcolm took an hour to warm up to the environment and i sat in the living hall knitting away. It's considered half work and half leisure-pleasure now, cos now i have niche ads-free knitting blog mah. And oh-so-therapeutic.

I called my sis over to my mom's place. She dropped by and we chatted away. Her son will be starting University in July and the daughter is still awaiting news. Good luck, hoh. But if kena Sabah/Sarawak, wakakakakakakaka.... i laff till die *wicked aunt cackling away*

Back home, bathed the kids, gave them dinner and packed them off to bed. Me, i made a knitting mistake and spent the rest of the night undoing and reknitting it. I'm starting on the armholes and collar now. Gonna finish soon and on to the next. No idea what it'll be. Till then :)

Mystery of my new toy UNVEILED!!!!

Day 5 of 16

I spent the better part of yesterday home, nursing a headache. All of us are somewhat sick lah. Gordon wanted to play with the computer and i let him have it. No mood to blog also. I tended to a clingy Malcolm in bed, knitting a row here and there. But most of time, i played with my new toy, lol.


YESS!!! I bought the Sony PSP last Saturday, in BLEKKKK.... wearing a purple suit, lolz. Misti, not a knitted pouch for my N73!!!! I was actually looking for Mario cartridges for the Gameboy but ended up with this instead. Hubby didnt want me nor Gordon to squint into the Gameboy's tiny screen.

Comes with an ori game but the shop owner installed six more for me onto the 2Gb memorystick..... SYIOKKKK!!! This Sony PSP has tons of accessories. I think if i were to buy them all, sure go pokkai faster. Hubby wants the dunnowat GPS thingy but according to the shop, it doesnt work here yet. But will keep us informed once it does.

I didnt get to play with it on Sunday and Monday as both hubby and Gordon pwned it; what's new. Cheh, i paid, but didnt get to play.... niamah. But i can tell you, the 4.3" screen ROCKS!!!! I've transferred an image taken with my Sony Cybershot T100 and it looks fantastic on the PSP. Gonna choose a nice one for the wallpaper.

Havent figured out why the videos wouldnt play though. Both also Sony mah. Wifi works. Tried it at Kopitiam Junction at Parkson. But the one at Black Canyon cannot wan??? Or maybe i did not set the new connection correctly. Geeee.... now i want to go download more games. Gonna need bigger harddisk soon if that's the case!!!!

How to remove tea stain from clothing?

See the bright brown patches. Malcolm jumped up and landed on hubby as he was sipping tea in bed. Now, how do i get rid of it? This tee is washed but the stain still remains. Its one of hubby's favorite white tee. I checked with Timberland and they no longer have this in his size. Not that they ever have that many tees in hubby's size, sigh. Can anyone help? I want those tried-and-tested versions, puhleez...

I'd like to tell you about an interesting website i came across, Shadowscope. This guy started blogging way back in 1999. My, that's a long time ago. I guess i'll need a lot of time to really finish reading his site. I like those pictures he has on the flickr badge on the sidebar. And very nice and interesting ones too. I like blogs with pictures. Makes the blog livelier.

It's the greatest horriday of all. For starters, Gordon showed signs of a flu on Saturday. Now, Malcolm & i caught it inevitably. Both having runny nose. Havent heardmalcolm coughing yet, but Gordon's getting bad; especially at night. And i'm sporting a constant headache, blehhhhhhh.

Anyway, there was banking to do today. No choice but to take the both of them out. As usual, we went to Parkson for lunch. Cos i wanted to test out my new toy's wifi connection, lol. And yes!!!!! IT WORKS!!!!! YAY!!!! Still havent guessed what i bought over the weekend? It shall be revealed later.

I wanted to go check out those new Samsung LCD tvs. I'm eyeing the 32" Samsung LA32R81B. Hubby says the 40" one will be much better, if i want to hook the pc and the Playstation3 to it. Who cares lah what size it is as long as i dont have to pay for it. But i heard that LCD tvs are prone to dead pixels and screen burns..... geeee.

Someone told me that if iwere to buy a large LCD tv, it's best that i get the PixelProtector™ DVD. It's a tool for removing screen burn, fixing stuck pixels and correctly calibrating the screen for optimal performance. It also fixes bad picture quality. Makes sense also. If i were to spend so much on the LCD tv, i might as well get the DVD too.

It's not easy being a fulltime mom. Forget about those paidposts thingy. Not really up to it. I've been walking in and out, in and out of the kitchen/toilet/living hall since Gordon opened his eyes at freaking 9am, wtf!! SUNDAY LAH!!!! NO SKOOL AH.... GORDON!!!! FOR 16 days ah, GORDON!!!!

He saw "pau-pau" from the bedroom window and demanded for it. I slept at 5.30am cos i was playing with my new toy. Then Malcolm got up too, and wanted "nen-nen". I'm also hungry myself, zombied, and really sluggish now. Like my pc. Damn slow, wont move, takes ages to load. Time i get some IBM memory for it. Or best to have it reformatted.

My kid woke up real early this morning. 9.30am to be exact. He asked for "bang-bang". So, i took him into the kitchen, let him munch on 3 crackers with a cup of goat's milk. I have to keep the whole tin of crackers out of his sight. Or else, he wont stop eating until it finishes. MIL bought it, not me. I seldom buy these stuffs. He saw her eating at the living hall and came back into the room, woke me up and asked for it. I gotta do some market research today. Will be really busy.

Malcolm loves drawing on the Doodle Pro. I only taught him once and he'll draw on it whenever he gets the chance to. Gordon also likes it, and did not fuss when Malcolm plays with his toys. Gordon always brings this to me and make me write A to Z, 1 to 10 and some shapes as he recites them one by one. But it can get kinda sien as my patience runs out, lol.

Terry's Fabrics - Roller blinds



Arent these Roller blinds beautiful. I feel that these will suit my bedroom more than curtains as curtains tend to get dusty faster. If i were to install roller blinds to my window, i can just vacuum it off easily. I like the dark shade with beige circles. The dark color will filter out the sunlight streaming into the room from the kitchen.

Roller blinds looks neat, and yet practical, functional and requires low maintenance. They were traditionally favoured for kitchens and bathrooms. Now, they have been much improved upon and are available in plain, printed and border print and suede fabrics. All these can all be combined with additional trimmings to make attractive and stylish window treatments. I bet my window is gonna to look much nicer with one.

Last day of school lorrrrr

Fuyoh, i'm really blur. I didnt even know that today's the last day of school until the teacher told me when i sent Gordon to school just now. That means i'll have Gordon with me 24/7 for the next 16 days. Seiii lorrrr.... headache lorrrr. What am going to do with him home all day long??? I'll go chisin, mannnn.

If hubby goes down to KL within this two weeks, i'll consider going too. What's there to do in KL these days ahhh. Not that i want to shop all day long also. My feet gonna hurt like hell, not to mention my pockets too. Sigh.... so fast, holiday di.

It never ceases to amaze me what new features PPP can continuosly roll out every now and then for bloggers. It was just not too long ago that we had some new changes. But this time, it's very different. One of the biggest changes being PayPerPost Direct.

I've read about people asking if it's possible for advertisers to directly approach Posties to get them to write special blog posts before. Now they can. PPP Direct just turned that into a reality. It's pretty simple in fact. All you need to do is specify the minimum amount you want to be paid for these Direct opportunities and stick a widget on your blog and wait for an advertiser to approach your blog and make you an offer.

The difference with this is that posties get to keep 100% of their specified amount. Let me just cite an example. There are other companies that has this same feature. But the BIGGEST difference lies with the "cut" that they're taking from your blog's amount.

PPP Direct works differently compared to competitors like ReviewMe which charges 50-100% markup and keep up to half your money. PPP Direct only charges a 10% fee, 5% of which goes to transaction fees for PayPal and credit card processing. Now, isnt that a whole lot of diffence in terms of revenue to Posties.

Condo Hotels

My sis just got back from her holiday. Stayed at some Condo Hotels for two weeks with her three kids. Well, i guess if one goes for a holiday as a family for two whole weeks, it only make sense to stay in a condo hotel rather than holed up in one hotel room like sardines, right. Myself, for one, wont want to. I'd find that stressful. What's the point of going for a holiday if i dont even get to sleep comfortably, eh. Might as well dont go in the first place.

The upper two pairs of Shooshoos are for my best friend's newborn baby boy. The blue pair of Robeez is Malcolm's and the Tee's for Gordon. Happy only.

What's in the box?



This came in as i was about to send Gordon to school. I just opened the box. Will check the contents out when i get back. It's the shoes i ordered for Malcolm and my best friend's newborn. Funny why everytime hubby has to go down KL, i'll definitely run out of milk and nappies. I got to go pick these items up on my way home from school. I thought i'd go to the bank too but having to search for a parking space.... blehhh. Forget it. That can wait.

Apply for motor insurance

I just realised that our motor insurance is about to expire. I'd better remind hubby to get motor insurance quote if he wants to get a good discount. We have a few cars, i'm sure we'll be able to get some good rates from the insurance agent. But if we were to buy online, we can even get a 10% discount. That's much better as we wont need to drive to the insurance agent's office.

There are two kinds of discounts available at CIS Motor Insurance. One is the No Claim Discount, and the other is the Introductory Discount. Since we've no made any claims on our insurance before, i think we may be eligible for a No Claim Discount. Doesnt it pay to drive carefully. At CIS Motor Insurance, buying our motor insurance is really convenient and hassle-free.

*RANT* DO NOT CONDUCT OPEN BURNING!!!!

This is what greeted me when i came home this evening. Niamah, i bet it's my knnlanjiao neighbour conducting open burning again. I've farked him over this matter before about two years back, i think. I'll have to dig the post up. It's buried somewhere in here.

I didnt catch him burning it, so i cant complain to our local authorities. EFND me will swear to the tree that he'll be duly punished for his selfish act if i can prove it on film. Conducting open burning is flouting the law and also a major health threat. Causes breathing difficulties in children and old folks. As this is a football field, many kids play here every evening.

That idiot claims that he knows people in the Gahmen department. Niamahfulat, i also want to see who the fark he knows in there and how high up that fler is. I also know people high up there and all the down there also, knn. I'll make sure he's answerable to both when i find out.

Lasik Complications

It's a fact that not all who underwent Lasik surgery are without complications. I'm still very skeptical about getting it done. I've been meaning to, but i've heard of many people complaining about Lasik Complications. ComplicatedEyes.org is a website that's devoted to helping people with Lasik and similar eye surgery complication. I'd better check it out thoroughly before subjecting my eyes to Lasik.

I'll have to re-stock my rose buds when i go to the tea gallery. This will be my last pot of rose tea unless i mix it with my greentea. I want to try Osmanthus this time.

Now that my desktop is cleared of unwanted clutter, maybe i'll pick up some nice teaware too on my next visit. Price of tea has gone up by 20% since the beginning of this month. Everything's up... sigh...

Bullet Speed Energizer

I was shocked to hear that my cousin drove all the way from Penang down to Johor in the morning, stopped by KL on his way up to pick some stuff up, dropped them by my house in Ipoh before hitting the gas pedal again all the way back to Penang. Yess, all in the same day. You say he terror or not??

He said he can do it as he took an Energy Boost supplement to help him stay alert. My hubby only drink a can of Red Bull. That's about it. But my cousin prefers popping pills as he's afraid of those empty calories that might make him fat. Up to him lah.

Political blog

It's not everyday that we get to review a conservative blog. Well, for one, i'm all for democratic country and leadership. take a look at urbanconservative.com. It's very out-spoken and no-holds-barred articles are indeed a good read. A break from the norm that we get to read from newspaper and such where all articles are biased. I found out a few good fact about the global warming issues there. Check it out.

Where to look for a sugardaddy????

There was this pretty lass who sat beside me in secondary school. During one of our naive schoolgirl conversations then, i asked her what she intends to be when she graduates. Guess what she told me. PAYjr Visa Buxx



Kids and parents alike will like what i am about to share. As a parent, sometimes, it's hard to get kids to help out with household chores. Take my sis for example. She has a maid, and asking her teenage daughter to take the laundry in or do the dishes will always turn into a major argument and tearful episode. As for her kid, she'll ask for monetary compensation for doing "work", lolz. This is TODAY'S KIDS!!! Live with it!!!

I think she'll find the PAYjr Visa Buxx which was just featured on CBS Evening News with Katie Couric this past Thursday may be the answer to her headache. PAYjr is a chore and allowance system for kids and a prepaid teen card for teens 13 and up. This program is an educational tool to teach teens how to budget, earn, and spend money responsibily. It also provides parental controls and the first ever "Design Your Own Card" for teens.

I bet with this program, her daughter will finish all her chores in a jiffy, and without anymore complaints. Personally, i feel that financial education should start from young. And with a prepaid card, it's easier to track expenses as her daughter can see where and how her money is spent.

Wholemeal Soya Noodles with Wakame & Crabsticks

To my horror, there wasnt anything on the kitchen table when i woke up this morning. Hubby has a lunch appointment today, so that means if i dont cook, there wont be anyhting to eat, lol. MIL bought some Wholemeal soya noodles and told me to try them out. OK, so cook them i will have to :)


Wholemeal Soya Noodles

I prepared two noodle seasoning from Oyster Sauce and Sesame Oil. Took 3 noodles out as i'm cooking for both Gordon and myself and 2 is definitely not enough. Ah hah.... found crabsticks in the freezer and put 4 to the pot.... mmmm


Took out a handful of Wakame, neh... those seaweed found in your Miso soup leh, and cooked them for a while to soften the texture. Not too long or they'll turn gooey, blekkk. Has a slightly bitter taste to it. Slightly only, k. Definitely palatable.

And, TADAAAAAAAA...... See.... breakfast Brunch for Two. As for Malcolm, he had breastmilk for breakfast, then Organic Rice cereal for lunch and i also cooked him porridge with carrots and tomatoes today. He can have that for tea and dinner.

Gordon's now plays with my phone's camera function whenever he gets the chance. But the funny thing is, he takes great pics of himself, whereby, i cant get a decent pic of him. I cant even take a decent pic of myself with my phone, lol.

Come this August, he can be the ultimate camwhore when i buy him the Olympus 770sw for his 4th birthday. Cant have him dropping my Sony T100 onto the ground.... choi, choi, choi. Next, he'll have his own domain and blog. Isnt he lucky to have a mom like me? :p

Of course there is, lol. I know many of you must be wondering what i'm up to since this blog dont seem to be moving of late. Not used to it leh. Aiya, every blog needs a break mah. Sometimes, there are just more important things in life that blogging for money. I still do write one or two if i feel like it.

Mac Poker

My uncle who loves to play poker, bought himself a Mac recently. A few of my friends are also Mac users. They all tell me that Macs are more stable than Windows. I dont know. I've never used a Mac before. I've contemplated (still contemplating) buying one for myself, but am afraid that all my files wont be compatible with it.

I hate learning new things. I find that it's a total waste of time. But the thrill of owning something totally different is also very tempting. My uncle asked me where can he find a reputable online poker site that's compatible with his Mac. See... wanna play poker also so troublesome. Anyway, i asked to check out Mac Poker. They have a very extensive list of Poker sites like Fulltilt Poker, Poker Stars and Pacific Poker for his Mac.

Guaranteed he wont have a chance to sleep much at night playing on all the sites there. Geee... i wonder if my Mac-user friends play poker or not?

Happy Mother's Day

The moment i loaded the site, Gordon ran up to me. Gave me one look, glanced at the monitor and started pointing at each condom and counting them; "1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9.......... ?? 10". He got pretty stuck at the end as he wanted to count right up to 10 but can see only 9, lol. So, i told him there's no 10, Mama's used it, dear...... o.O

And yes, today's Mother's Day. Whether you're a mom, mom-to-be, a grandma, a daughter, childless, forgotten, sickly, just remember that god made us all equal as a person. It's how we make the most of what he's blessed us with that's most important of all. Just be grateful for what you have right now. And cherish every moment we have with our loved ones.

This is a prayer that i say every night. I'd like to share it here:

Another stress-free day with Gordon :)




Today is a good day. Why? Because i finally managed to put Gordon's school uniform on him without much tussle nor struggle. No chasing him all over the living hall, up and down the bed, nor is there pulling him out from under the bed, lol. No crying, no whining, no scrunched-up face nothing.

Wahhhhhh......... syiokkk oni. I pleated his tail without much fuss either. Usually, he'll mumble and grunmble cos he doesnt like the feel of the brush against his scalp. No idea why also, maybe it's because i let him play a game on the pc whilst i changed him gua. Enjoy the pics.... so hensem, my boy..... lol.
