Regrowing Spring Onions From The Wet Market

 

Now that i'm finally settled down where i really want to be, it's time to play with the vegetables that I've been buying from the wet market repeatedly. I've read that one can regrow many types of vegetables at home. I'd like to start with spring onions since we eat tonnes of these each week. The bunch you see here costs Rm2 and can only last us a few days. I saved the last 2 inches and placed them inside a small glass container waiting for new shoots to appear. It will take a few days. I'm only worried about the roots as there are not much to be seen, lol. Oh well, if i fail this round, I'll just buy a new bunch to try with until I can plant them inside a pot! Wish me luck, ya.
