Many of my girlfriends gave up their career for the sake of their kids. Most of them felt that a kid's first few years are crucial to their development and they want to be there for them. me too. I also want to stay home and be with the kids forever if possible. In a way, i'm lucky my line of work allows me to do so. But not so for many people. A close friend told me she now wants to go back to work in two years to come. Due to her age, she finds it hard to look for a good job. Her hubby told her to go get herself a degree so that she can compete for a better position when applying for a job next time. She just found one that she likes.
