Our neighbor's house

My neighbor just bought a new house and asked my mother-in-law if we are interested in buying hers for future expansion or not. Without asking us, she turned the offer down. When we asked her why, she told us that our neighbor's house was infested with termites a couple of years back. She didnt know about termite bonds and that we can always have one drawn up. The house is longer for sale as our neighbor has sold it to her uncle. What a waste. We could have bought it and have the house treated.
