Ah! My dear loving and generous son....

Gardenia Toastems in Tupperware

Isnt it every mothers' dream to bring up a loving and generous child? Well, i think i have done quite a good job in instilling these values in Gordon. Having no siblings to share his toys and food with at home, i make it a point to play with him a lot and teach him to share his favourite food with family members.

Out during breakfast, he would spoonfeed pieces of cut-up fruit into papa's mouth and clap his hands when papa happily swallows it. He would then turn to me and i would clap my hands and give him a few words of praise along with hugs and kisses and he'll be the happiest boy on earth. This will go on until the plate is cleaned out. Isnt it like a scene straight out of Enid Blyton's storybook? Loving or not.....

Gordon loves bread and he's quite choosy over what bread he eats. He doest like white bread. We tried wholemeal for a while and he got bored. As i no longer make my own bread nowadays, we bought him Gardenia's Toastems and he's hooked ever since. So, every two days, MIL will buy a loaf for him. Isnt this wonderful....

I usually tear up 2 pieces of it and put it in a Tupperware for him. He can then munch on them whenever he feels like it. Gordon doesnt fancy the brown sides of the bread. He'd usually stuff them into his papa's or my mouth when he's done with the flesh and fruit pieces. But once in a whil, he does share the rest with the both of us. How generous of him.

One afternoon, right after his nap, i gave him two fresh pieces of bread. As usual, he'd run in and out of the room playing by himself and eating a piece or two of the bread. And every now and then, he'd put a piece into my mouth as i worked at my pc. Awwww, isnt he an angel???

This went on for a while and as i typed away, Gordon came back into the room once again. He climbed up onto my chair and put something into my mouth. Without looking, i opened my mouth and ate what looked like a raisin. I dont have to doubt my own son what, right.

But this raisin sure tastes funny. I spit it out and upon closer inspection, it turned out to be a dead baby cockroach the size of a raisin, ppptttuuuiiiii!!! NIAMAH!!!

Remind me of my glutton SIL at one of the family dinners at a restaurant. There was a cockroach in the beehoon and she ate half the roach unsuspectingly!
When she found out the other half, she almost died. LOL
