Seat Belt Adjuster For Kids

Remember, hoh.....
The rear-seat-belt ruling will be enforced from Jan 1. From Dec 16, the police and the Road Transport Department will carry out an exercise to educate and remind drivers and passengers of the ruling.

Mock summonses would also be issued during this exercise.

Seat belt adjuster for kids

And this is what i bought the other day. A seat belt adjuster for kids. Gordon usually sits in the middle. He's given up his car seat to Malcolm two years ago. Of course, he uses the seat belt whenever we go out. For as long as i can remember, i've always sat at the back of the car with them since Gordon was born. This is for safety reasons. And i will not compromise their safety for comfort nor convenience.

I cannot stand parents letting their kids stand and climb all over the car when they are driving. Or worse, seated in front with one member of the family. If you are the guilty parent, you may want to buckle up and listen. It's either they sit quietly in the car, strapped in properly or no gaigai at all. So, no matter how old your kids may be, PUT THE SEAT BELT ON. It's a matter of training them since young, but never too late to start. Psssttt... a cane in the car helps with the training process.

For kids younger than 5 years old, use a carseat at all times. If they've outgrown the carseat, then buy them a booster seat, or use a seat belt adjuster for kids like what you see here. You need either item to prevent the seat belt from slicing their throat in the event of an emergency brake. Dont play-play. Hubby's relative, an adult, died this way. As the car's seat belt is right next to your child's neck due to his lack of height, it can really do more harm than good if you are not careful.

Here, you can see Gordon munching happily on an egg tart with the seat bealt adjuster on. Note how the seat belt adjuster pulls the seat belt away from his neck. A seat belt adjuster for kids can be bought from just about any baby store, both locally and online. A simple child safety item like a seat belt adjuster will safe your child's life in the event of a car accident. You are fully responsible for your child's safety.

Do buy a seat belt adjuster for kids and install it in your car. Check out the various car seat adjuster for kids here. Hope you find the right one. This Parenting Tip is brought to you by Samm of Myorganiclife. CHEERS!!!!

Hi!
I saw your post when I googled "seat belt adjusters" b/c a neighbor was asking about them. I realize this post is over a year old and your little one is bigger now, but I thought I'd mention that in my experience, belt-positioning boosters (or, if space is a constraint, the RideSafer Travel vest http://www.ridesafer.net) will position the adult seat belt much better on a child than the seat belt positioners like the one in your photo. Although the positioner *does* position the shoulder belt well, it often pulls the *lap* portion of the belt higher up on the child's abdomen, which could result in injuries to internal organs in a crash. This link gives some great explanations and photos describing how the seat belt should fit a child and how to tell if the seat belt fits safely without a booster http://carseatblog.com/?p=3966
And thanks for spreading the "Buckle up!" message :-)
