Can our kids afford a house next time?

Hubby and i got invited to some property launching event. I guess we'll just entertain his friends and drop by the site for a short while. Well, property prices have sky-rocketed so much. I wonder if my kids can afford to buy houses or not next time. In a way, i'm lucky that we have a nice corner house with a huge playground opposite us. Good not to have neighbors scrutinizing our every move directly opposite the road. Well, if one cannot afford to buy property for their kids next time, there are still other options like gold coins that appreciates over time. One can invest in gold coins slowly over the years and hand them down to their kids next time.
