Looking for new home improvement ideas

One of the easiest way to spruce up your living area is to change all the soft furnishings. I love to shop for cushion covers and curtains. I find it very therapeutic for me. My MIL says we really do need some fresh home improvement ideas as she intends to give the whole house a complete makeover. She's really bored with looking at the same old colors since Chinese New Year. She may want to renovate the kitchen too and asked me to help her look for some ideas. No problem. I have lots of time on hand.
