I was driving to pick my kid up from school when i saw these two kids up in the tree and couldn't resist snapping a pic of them, lol. Reminds me so much of my childhood. We had a tree in our backyard and i've had lots of fun climbing it. The thing now is i wonder if i'll scream should i ever see my kid up there one day. Ahh... the joy of being a kid.

I want beer now worrr..... chi jorr sin....

I had a strange feeling just now. All i wanted was a can of cold beer. Any beer will do, best if it's Heineken, lol.... what the heck. I've not had beer for a long long time. How long? Since the night i conceived Malcolm gua. I dont think i've had a sip since then. Yeah.... it's that long.

I must surely be slightly crazy to want beer in the wee hours of the morning. Isnt this the time when half the world wants coffee? I think the first thing i'll do when Malcolm's weaned off me is to go for a beer session with hubby. I dont think one can will suffice. A dozen maybe.... *grins*

Hot hot hot.... rain rain rain....

I hate the current weather of late. It'll be really really hot for days on end and just when it's time for me to do my laundry, somehow it'll choose to rain on that particular day. Our current front loading washing machine does not have a built-in dryer function. We wanted to have it replaced when it broke down last month, but my mother-in-law [refers to have it fixed instead as we couldnt find one that's bigger than what we've been using all along.

She says if possible, she prefers to have at least a 7kg washer with a separate dryer; not one that come with the built-in function. Maybe she thinks that it'll be more energy efficient that way? I dont know. So, i'm checking out those Kenmore dryers now. She says her friend's using one and she finds it durable. Okay, whatever pleases the dowager, lol.

I learnt from my neighbor that her aunt had a mild stroke recently. That old lady lives by herself and thank god, her grandson was around when that happened. She's now back home and recuperating. Somehow, she cant walk now and needs to be assisted. They live in a double storey house and her grandson found that it's cumbersome to carry her up and down everyday.

I think what he should do is install a stair lift to the staircase. My friend installed one for her frail grandmother when she started having difficulty walking up the stairs. She has no complaints and everyone's happy. You see, installing a stairlift will restore freedom and independance for those who ind it difficult to move around the home. For the love of knitting

I'm feeling much better now. Thanks to all. A part of me left and was replaced with something different. And i like the new me better. I've not been doing much blogging these few days except for those paidposts that has datelines to it. Sorry, ya for subjecting all of you to sheer paidposts torture.

Other than that, i went for yarn therapy. I bought enough to last me a month or two. Two birthday projects for both my kids. And lots of new yarn for myself. In all i have 5 projects on hand. I havent bought yarn for hubby's shirt yet. Didnt have enough time. WIll do that again next week when i kautim Malcolm's vest.

To me, this is how i destress. But i know of some friends of mine will eat all day and all night long. Some even go do drugs until they end up at a drug rehab. Some like to drink their sorrows away. Me, i stay home and knit, knit, knit and do more knitting. Seeing those balls of yarn turning into works of art is the best therapy of all :)

White sandy beaches

I saw a few brochures lying around the table at my sister's house this afternoon. I found that they were of some Kihei homes when i flipped through them when i was waiting for my niece. Wow, not bad. I like those white sandy beaches best. Just what i need now. To run around the beach in a sexy bikini, or sunbathe all day long sipping Long Island tea.

I wonder who's going to Hawaii this time? But i remembered my sis telling em her hubby's niece is getting married in Hawaii. I think they're most likely going there to attend her wedding party or dinner function. Hmmmm.... i guess if one were to hold a wedding reception at the beach, it's gonna be really romantic. Geee.... i wonder what will the bride wear on the beach. I wont be caught dead wearing a wedding gown. That'd be awkward.

If they havent booked their accomodation, i'd better tell them that they can do it through Hawaiian Beach Rentals. So convenient these days. With just a few mouseclicks and one can book their vacations online without the need to go to a travel agency. That's what we used to do last time. Now, it's so different and easy.

The Packing Station

I was surprised to see that my niece had packed all her belongings into huge plastic bags and few luggage on preparation for her trip to university. So much to pack and not using boxes? How to ship them over? Something's bound to break that way.

I remembered when my uncle shipped his stuffs back from the UK recently, they were all neatly packed in packing boxes in bubble wrap. I even commented that nothing got broken when we happened to be there when he was in the midst of unpacking his stuffs. Everything is so organised. I'm impressed.

He says that in the UK, many people buy their packing supplies from The Packing Station. How convenient it is to have such a company that sells all these. make moving around so much easier. I've moved around many times before and i know what a hassle that can be if i cant seem to finf my things once i'm back. Gee... i hope my niece will go get some boxes to pack hers in or else she's gonna have a headache when she reach the university.

Renewing my club membership

I wonder why my brother-in-law keeps buying new golf balls for his training sessions. He's just started on this sport and cant even hold the clubs properly yet. My sis told me his trainer suggested that he practise with those used golf balls instead of new ones. Once he's good at the game, he can use new ones at the club. Talking about the club, i havent been there for ages. Didint even renew my membership. I should take my kids there for a swim one day. But i gotta renew my membership first.

Whose pens?

I found a few pens inside Gordon's schoolbag just now. I dont think those are ours as i've never seen the brand around the house before. I've check with my father-in-law and he also says those are not his either. Then, my guess is he must have gotten them from school. I'll have to return those to the teacher tomorrow. Gordon cant write yet, even if he can, he will be using pencils and not pens, lol.

Going to Kona

I just got back from high-tea with a few girlfriends. Been out since 3pm when the kids were napping. They havent been sleeping well for the past few days as they room's temperature was quite warm. I was wondering what can the matter be. Then i remembered i havent vacuumed the air-conditioner for quite a while. I did that the first thing this morning and even hosed down the compressor too. The room's very cold now at 19 degrees celcius.

Over tea just now, i got to know that one of my girlfriends happened to be a victim of one of the local travel agency that went bust some time back. She booked her vacation and also paid up everything. They were just about to leave for the airport when they got news that there'll be no trip and was told to go home by themselves. She lost a few thousand bucks that way and missed the opportunity to attend her niece's wedding too. Poor thing.

She'll be going to Kona with her kids next weekend. She says she booked an Oceanfront 3 Bedroom Vacation Rental Home with a pool at Hale Ke Kai for $725 from a site that offers Kona vacation rentals. She told me to bookmark Hawaiian Beach Rentals. She did the booking all by herself, not through a travel agency. She says it's better this way, lol. Well, i hope she has a great time with her family this time.

I need time to reflect

Yesterday was the most rotten day of my life. It served as a sick reminder of what i can turn out to be. So bad that i was stunned by my own action. It's just unbelievable that i could have done what i did. I felt sick to the pit of my stomach.

Got me thinking the whole night. I havent slept. I tossed and turned in bed. I still cant come up with a solution yet. I need time. I need time to reflect upon myself as both a wife and a mother. What went wrong where. I am answerable to myself.

Sweet jackfruit

I just whacked a few jackfruits just now. Hubby bought them for me after he sent Gordon to school. They are so sweet. I've not had them for ages, almost forgotten how good they can be. But i think i'm going to cough like chisin later on. Common as my throat irritates easily after i eat sweet stuffs. Been like that since young. That's why i stay off sugary stuffs as much as i can.

So, unless it's Haagen Daz or Godiva, i sure rant wann, if i cough after eating those stuffs, lol. But once in a while okay lerrr. How can a person live without sweet things, hoh. Cannot wan mah. Sorry, hoh. No pics of the jackfruit. Only left one papaya and some pineapple triangles, lol. Want those? Cant see my phone now. Maybe later and that's if i find it before i whack the rest up too.

These are for Malcolm's porridge. MIL didnt know i cook porridge for Malcolm until yesterday, lol. She asked me what i use for her darling grandson's porridge and i told her carrots, tomatoes and potatoes, and the occasional french beans. Sometimes, i use wolfberries, dates and some other chinese herbs and roots.

So, she bought me this today. I love dreid scallops. These are small ones, good for baby's porridge as it's size is just right. The big ones are best left for longer cooking. The best part is, i can ccok more and eat those scallops for myself with Marmite!!!

I'm already in a screwed up mood this afternoon. I wasnt feeling well, had a bad tummy ache. So, i was taking a nap when i got this SMS.

I got madder as i really needed the nap as i slept at 5am this morning and Gordon woke me up at 6.15am. I only got less than 3 hours sleep for the whole of last night. Couple this with a bad tummy, i'm really really in a pissy mood. Still in utter discomfort, i replied to the SMS.

And got this reply:

Now, another issue is what are our network providers doing about it. There was an article in TheStar recently that says that Maxis are coming up with antispamming tools to combat these sort of spams. How are we as consumers, able to proctect ourselves from all these unwanted messages. How do we lodge a report and make sure that action is taken against those companies involed that spams. Arent those SMS and phone numbers proof enough.

Aitelyu, BIG FUCKING DEAL!!! They happen to be biggest spammer around with their constant offers of free ringtome download, free this download, free that download, subscribe this, subscribe that..... DNMCH. I dont know how many time my blardy phone has to beep in a single day only to find messages that are intended for the mass market NMFL.

Do you need curtain tracks?

I've gotta replace the old curtains with some new ones. MIL has no time to shop for them. I've gotta do it for her. She likes all those floral -patterned ones, which to me, looks drabby. I prefer to have in a more contemporary design like stripes. Those will definitely brighten up the living room far better than floral ones. And oh, she reminded me to get new curtain tracks too whilst at it.

Gordon's car-cars

This is how Gordon plays with his car-cars everyday. Cannot share-share wannn. He'll get very mang jang when malcolm crawls over and screws up his formation, lol. Mind you, he'll push him away, HARD!!! Malcolm wanna join in and play also cannot. Skali he push, Malcolm will fall onto the floor, my poor boy. So, this is what Gordon does almost all day long. Lining up his toys everywhere.

Cun, hoh. All in straight-straight line wann. But i dont ubderstand how come his cars left so few. There were supposed to be 25 in all. Now, lefty about 15 jek. That's why i dont buy him expensive stuffs. I'll get tulan-ed when i cant find them.

Electrolux washing machine

One reason MIL was reluctant to change her washing machine when it broke down, but chose to have it repaired instead is because of the brand; Electrolux. There wasnt many choices when we went to check out one for her a few weeks back. I wanted to replace ours with a bigger load. Anything more than 5kg capacity is big, lol.

I wash my comforter quite often, and with a 5Kg, it's just not bigh enough. I finally found one at the electrical shop today. It's a 7Kg Electrolux. I was told its a new model, but the one at the showroom is sold. I told MIL about it and she said she likes it, but we're only to buy it when ours break down again. Okay, whatever she says. I wonder if something with this capacity comes with a dryer?

Do you like Hollywood gossips?

One thing i love most about the internet is that i get to catch up on hollywood gossip. Well, the latest and hottest must be Paris Hilton and her jailterm, of course. Who can resisit readign about the rich spoilt heiress spending her weeks sitting pretty inside a jail, lol. Me, for one, has been catching up on that.

And also thanks to celebritygossip.com, i also learned that my favorite actress, Julia Roberts just gave birth to a healthy baby boy. And then, there's Lindsay Lohan getting her birthday cancelled as she's still at Promise Treatment Center. Hopes she sobers up soon. So young, screwed up life.

I got to knit!!!!

After hubby sent Gordon to school this afternoon, i quickly finished up with all my daily chores, nursed Malcolm to sleep and sat down to continue with my over-due knitting project. nehhh... the orange blouse, lol. It's almost done. A few more inches to the top of the shoulders and i can join them together already.

Knit the armholes and collar and you'll get to see the finished product. Just pray i dont procrastinate and stash it inside my bag out-of-sight-out-of-mind again. I want closure. Time to move on to new projects. New yarns abeckoning. The shop called and told me new stock has arrived..... *drools*.... Definitely another pokkai season for me......

Burn Notice's Spying 101

I was reading up on the story behind USA Network's Burn Notice andsome cool stuffs keep flitting through my mind. I grew up in an era where i watched MacGyver and lots of old James Bond movies. And i didnt forget about Inspector gadget, lol. Yes, i love to se how they use their creativity to catch those baddie. And those cool imaginative gadgets like mirrors and lipsticks, watches, all innocently disguised that no one will ever suspect they can be deadly.

Oh, when i was a kid, i use to emulate those things i see on tv, and yes, i think my mom must have lost quite a few tubes of lipsticks and lots of mirrors those days. You may wonder why in the world would i want toplay with mirrors, right. I was pretty creative when i was a kid. I make periscopes with them, lol. Half the time, another one of my favorite is to use toilet rolls and pretend that they are binoculars. Can you believe that.

Given the choice, if i were to be a spy, now, what would my favourite items be? Being a woman, i think no one will even suspect me of being a deadly one if i were tostaick with my two favorite childhood fantasy items, yeah. I have faith that my trusty lipstick laser gun and mirror will get me out of any situation at all, no doubt about that. Dangerous missions? There's no dangerous mission in my books, Only success!!!! Now excuse me whilst i apply my lipstick!

Come drool over my bak jang

I didnt get the chance to eat this when MIL bought them yesterday. I gave some to my mom. These are made with black eyed peas, not exactly my favorite ingredient. I prefer mine with the small yellow peas. What do you call those? She told me they cost around Rm4.50 each. It's filled with pork, chestnut, mushroom, some driend prawns and 1 salted egg yolk. They tastes fine to me. Not the best though. I seldom eat these nowadays, this is an exceptional case, lol.

Meet Didi. We've had him since 18th Oct 2002, even before Gordon was born. We had a pair but his mate didnt survive. Didi will be turning 5 this October. We have to get him a new tank soon. He's quite big already. I just hope MIL wont rant when i manage to find a bigger tank and put it at the living hall. Actually, the old folks have grown fond of him. I was giving him his bath this morning and realised that i've not taken pics of him for a long time. So, say hi again to Didi :)

The moment i turned into the road leading back to the house, Gordon started wailing at the top of his lungs. He was expecting his efnd mom to drive straight and the both of us can go goyang kaki have tea at Oldtown Kopitiam. I had to yank him out of the car, drag him back into the house, push him through the door and lock the front gate behind me, all amidst chaos.

So, you all still want kids. Arent they adorable until they turn into demanding lil monsters? Now where's the cane when i need it most....... GORDON..... just you wait...... niamah...

Have you tried Wonka Bars before?

My sis brought some Wonka Bars over for my kids. Her SIL bought them from the US and brought some back with her last week. Have you tried Wonka Bars before? Not bad, you know. They are just milk chocolate candy bars with graham crackers. I love the taste and the texture very much. Not overly sweet either that they stick to your throat.

Though i hardly eat candies nor give them to my kids, this will be an exception. I've not seen any shops nor malls seling Wonka Bars here. But then, you can always buy them online. They come in a container with an ice pack, so that you dont have to worry about receiving them in a melted state. They will still be solid and cool, just the way it is supposed to be. Oh... just go get some and try it out for yourself, k. The taste is indescribably delicious.

Malcolm learning to stand - video

Gordon didnt learn to stand until 12 months old and he walked unassisted by the time he turn 13 months. Malcolm started at 10 months. He can now stand for a good 30 seconds at a time. Sometimes, he'll even dance to the music or DVD on tv. Sometimes, pounce on you too when he's standing.

The major difference between Gordon and Malcolm is, the moment Gordon wakes up in the morning or from his naps, he'll start his learning process immediately. Whereby, Malcolm prefers to wail the moment he wakes, even when his eyes are still shut, lol. He's a very clingy baby and from my point of view, has prolonged separation anxiety.... *gasp*

I guess it wont be long till his very first step and i hope i can record that down. It would be a shame to miss that. I didnt get to cam it during Gordon's time as my old Nokia 6600 produces lousy videos, lol. Now that i have the Sony T100, i'm waiting for the day he can walk on his own, hopefully by his 1st birthday, which is on 6th July.

I slept at 5am after a short chat with Simple American on MSN in bed using my phone. Woke up at 10.30am with this on the kitchen table. A loaf of Gardenia Toast'em bread and 2 packets of noodles. Gordon wanted paupau, whilst i ate a packet of bihun. I dont like this but since this is what MIL bought, i ate one. I shall wait and see what i'm going to do with the other later.

Taking the kids to Disney World

I've always wanted to take my kids to Disney World. Gordon loves Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse so much that he can almost spot them from afar. Sometimes, i have to squint and look around me in order to find where he saw Mickey or Minnie. It could be at the Mall, on a banner.... just anywhere, lol.

But then, both of them are still so small and i'm worried that they may not like staying in a hotel room for days or even weeks on end. You know, Orlando... it has so many theme parks. 52 if i'm not wrong, and even tons of activities for moms and dads too like shopping and golf. Believe me, a week is never enough.

I asked a friend of mine who just got back from Orlando. Well, she's like me, has kids too. She says the best thing is to book a big and spacious villa though Orlando vacation villa rentals. Children dont like cramped hotel rooms and chances are they'll get edgy.

Great!!! I'll have to let hubby know so that he can take time off work to plan for a really good family vacation next month. How long should i plan for? 2 weeks? Or 3??

Apart from blogging, I'm also in the midst of drafting out our company's TOS. This is tedious, time-consuming and not something which i like doing. But no choice, this preceeds everything else. I've to go through each and everyone of them and edit them as necessary before sitting down and finalising them with our lawyers. And i've got to get it done by next week's board meeting..... blekkkk, SIEN....

There was once whereby a customer had to travel 100 km over to my cousin's place to view his car. His was NOT the only car he viewed. So, my boy won. Happy now lohh. I'll let him play till the battery runs out, which wont take long. I checked when i turned it on and there was only about 1.5hrs of gameplay time left. It should be anytime now, give and take 15 minutes or so.

Cant have him over-excited before bedtime. He'll get nightmares. Though all those are non-violent games, a kid cant tell. To me, everything's exciting and new. How come kids are so easy to please. Give him a toy and he'll be happy for hours, lol. Wish i can be so easy to please.

Have you been to the Las Vegas Convention Center lately? A car show was held there that attracted more than 50,000 international and domestic buyers. My cousin just got back from Las Vegas and he attended the car show. He says amongst all that glitz and glamour, he's interested in the almighty light truck.

It's the Isuzu that took center stage with two very unique concept trucks. He's especially fond of both the i-370 Off-Road Truck and the i-290 Sport Truck. He told me that the i-370 Off-Road Truck boasted a Skyjacker lift kit, custom hidden hitch, nerf bars, and Toyo Tires on American Racing alloy wheels.

Wow, i wonder if he'll buy the Isuzu Rodeo. I've never driven a truck before. I've always dreamt of driving one. But then, i'm so short. I wonder if people can a driver at the front seat or not with me at the wheel, lol. Gee... i really hope he buys one.

Rice with egg & vegetable nuggets and Marmite soup. Gordon doesnt quite like whole vege now. The only to get him to eat them is to mix them into his egg nuggets. I'll just add some onions and garlic to it when i fry them. Easy. As it's mosquito season, i give him Marmite soup with his rice. He loves it, so do i. Can never get enough of Marmite.... delicious. Come to think of it, no more bread also. Should i run to 7-11 and get a loaf????

Arent i just the pampered one. A delicious plate of wantan meen. My... i didnt know my Nokia N73 can take such great close-ups of the meen, lol. Such clarity, hoh. Makes me drool looking at it now. Hubby bought this from Chai kar Hei, which sells very tasty Lormaikais too. Beats me why he didnt buy me that too, aiyaaaaaa.... I'll ask MIL to buy me one for breakfast tomorrow morning then.

Arent we just lucky to be living in a country whereby we do not need to install underfloor heating? I have an old distant aunt living in Yorkshire and she says that the cold flooring is terrible on her feet. Her son offered to install underfloor heating for her but she refused, silly old woman.

She says that they are expensive and would rather suffer in silence. I tell you, the cost of hospitalization is far more expensive compared to that. Dont be as stubborn as my aunt. Those cold floors can be a killer to your feet and is bad for circulation.

Chaos

Oh boy, hubby just left for KL. And left everyone crying.... me, of course not, hehe. He wanted to take the Sony PSP along despite my protests. He says he'd be bored during the journey, lol. There was not much battery left in it as it was being charged. Gordon was playing with it earlier and the battery went flat.

Haha.... try to take my kid's PSP to KL???? Think again. The moment Gordon saw hubby put the PSP inside his luggage, his face turned sulky, on the brink of tears. When it was confirmed that Papa's really taking it with him, he sobbed.... yes, he gave me a forlorned look complete with Bambi eyes and sobbed out loud, poor thing.

What to do.... cant leave a sad boy behind mah, right. Not right mah, hoh. So, a teary Gordon got his precious PSP back and is happily playing with it now, lol. Nahhh.... remember, dont underestimate the pahwer of tears. WORKS everytime. Nope, i didnt teach him that.... I swear.... pppppbbbbtttt!!!!

Yes! Only three strands. I didnt notice it till just now, lol. I'm actually breastfeeding Malcolm when i noticed that he's only got 3 strands on his forehead. Nehhhh.... can see or not. Can mah.... How come the rest wont grow long wannn, except these 3???? I guess my boy must be thinking what his sott mom must be doing pointing the camera at his head, lol. Gotta buy blister treatment patches

Hubby bought a few pairs of Timberland shoes lately. I advised him to get a few of those blister treatment patches as well but he says no need. So, i let him be. He's now complaining that the back of his shoes are giving him some red marks at the back of his ankles, and they're getting worse by the day.

Now he knows, lol. These blister treatment patches helps prevent blisters by preventing friction from rising to blister-causing levels. They also provide immediate relief of blister pai. Therefore giving a chance for blisters to heal faster. Best for existing blisters. So, i guess i'll have to get him a few packs now.

There's Gordon's favorite egg nuggets , steamed lady's fingers and some dunno wat fish.... kembong gua. I cant tell them apart, lol. Fish is fish lah to me, all looks the samee. Noon nap for me....... very rare one

Wow, i just woke up from my afternoon nap. I nursed Malcolm to sleep at around 2 something and the both of us fell to sleep together. Hubby was playing with the PSP beside us in bed. He went out for a late lunch and bought me a packet of wantan meen with sui kau too.

I'm going to eat it when Gordon comes back. Hubby's gone to pick him up from school now. See.... i ho mia or not. He'll be leaving for KL anytime right after he comes back with Gordon. Eh... they're back. Gotta go. Mumm Mumm.........

Protect your laptop from scratches

Our company's laptop is hardly 6 months old and it's now full of scratches everywhere. It had a plastic cover on it at first, but then, someone must have peeled it off as they think it looks way better without it. Moreover, it's in white. Yeah, it looked great at first. But, without the protective plastic covering, it now looks dirty and terrible.... blekkkk. Not something that i'm proud of using when out.

For those of you who are using laptops, do protect it. It's such an expensive investment. What a shame to see it full of scratches, right. There are laptop skins that you apply on it. Malcolm's fully engrossed with his toys. Let's just hope he stays that way till he wants to sleep. Just dont wail, lol. Gorodn lined up all his toys behind the bedroom door before i tucked him in. he's doing it all the time now. Sometimes, i'll find them at the kitchen safety gate, sometimes outside at the hall. I dont mind him lining them up everywhere, but it's driving me insane trying to get him to bring them all back inside the room!!!!

Good luck with your copyrights case

The rantings are still going on in the forum. Some bloggers are contemplating sueing one of those advertising networks for copyrights issue. If you're in this business, you'll know what i'm talking about. A company has quietly changed their TOS recently without informing all their members which they are supposed to.

The company now says that advertisers can use the opps any way they deem fit and many are not in favor of that. The bloggers feel that their work are solely theirs only and cannot be reproduced even though they have been paid for the links. Gee, i wish them luck. I hope their lawyers are as good as Simmons Jannace & Stagg, whose lawyers are encouraged to approach each case with a fresh perspective and to look for opportunities to resolve conflicts in a cost-efficient and effective way. Me, i wont bother.

I just got Gordon to sleep, but Malcolm refuse to. He was pretty worked up just now, and i guess he'll be up till around 1am or so. He's now playing by himself right behind me. Sometime, he'll crawl up to me and try to slot himself between the chair and my oSim, which is right beside me.

The space is so tight, and yet, i dont know why he likes it there? I'm hubgry now and dare even step out of the room lest he cries and wakes the big monster up. As long as he's playing quietly and not demanding for anything else, i consider it a blessing :)

Seii lorrr... i forgot that hubby has to go KL again tomorrow and still havent ironed his shirts yet. I hope he'll remember that his new neckties are inside the inner compartment of his luggage. He didnt get to wear them both cos he says he couldnt locate where he placed them until i showed him when he got back, lol.

I'm so not going to iron his shirts now. The hall is filled with mosquitoes and i dont wanna get zapped by those bloody bloodsuckers. I'll do that the first thing when i wake up tomorrow. If i really cant make it, then he's got no choice but to wear what's hanging inside the wardrobe.

I finally found the bottle of Bosisto's Eucalyptus oil. It's right behind my mirror on the chest of drawers. Now, why in the world did i out it there in the first place. And behind the mirror sommore??? What was i thinking when i did that, lol.

I wont be needing it now as my kids have recovered form their bout of flu. If your kids have flu, you can buy this from any Chinese Medical Hall. Cost Rm7.20 approximately. Put a capful into one of those water-based air purifier. Helps them breathe better at night. And the room smells good too.

No food at home. Bought this on the way home after i picked Gordon up from the kindy. This is how the tapau-ed version looks like. I dont like those fried onions garnishings. Very bad for a growing kid. I always pick them out. I dont even eat that myself. No way is Gordon eating that. Guess what i bought for myself? Update that later when i go to the kitchen, ya.

Another wedding invitation!!!!

Hubby says he received a wedding invitation from one of his old classmates last week. Old classmate? Who? He did not say if it's anyone that i know of also. So, i guess it's one of his overseas friends. Or maybe one that studied there and didnt come back. Whatever, it is hubby is still deciding whether to go or not. It's in Long Island.

Hubby asked me to check out what Long Island has to offer him as he dont want to go there just to attend a wedding dinner. That'll be a total waste of air ticket, lol. I was told to take a look at what i can find out from LongIslandExchange.com, an all-in-one, high-quality entertainment and local destination guide to find anything from local news, real estate listings to online games and more. Gee, i wonder with all the information, will he take me and the kids along?

YESSSS!!! The rain's stopped. Half and hour more, and my boy is home. I dont know if hubby's gonna pick him up or not. He's still at the office. I cant call him now also as the phone's in the midst of sending an email out to one of my flickr-enabled blogs. Toolazy to walk out to the house phone. Too many mozzies eyeing my luscious thighs....... pbbbtttt.

Maybe 10 minutes from now. There's still time, and the spare car's around. But then, i hate to leave Malcolm alone in the room. Though he's asleep now, he'll cry when he finds that i'm gone and he's all alone in the big big bed all by himself. *waiting for the phone to finish sending email*

I think it's gonna rain soon. The sky is really dark now. As soon as i wrote the last two sentences, i remembered there's laundry out on the lines, so, i hurried to the backyard and brought them in. Just when they're all in my arms, it pelted.... huge globs of rain on the pavement. At least Gordon went to school just shortly before it started raining, if not he might get caught in the rain.

Jialat lah, having to take him into the school using an umbrella. He'll tend to pull at it. But then, i'm not the one who sent him to school this afternoon. Hubby had to go back to the office and sent him on his way. Lets just hope the rain stops before school's over. Hate it wet wet wet, blekkkk. Lousy day.

I hate conductng interviews

Our company's rapid expansion means we need to hire more people back to work for us. And good employees are hard to find these days. Half the time, all those who come for the interview either do not qualify or they demand too high a pay; even for fresh school leavers, haha. What are they thinking of. Do you know that a fresh college graduate requested for a 2k salary from us???

We're not going to waste time now. We're going to seek the service of an executive search firm this time. Jayne asked us to try the sevices of A.E. Feldman Associates, Inc. Says they have a high standard of service and commitment in the recruiting field to the benefit of both sides of the employment equation. Good to hear that we dont have to spend so much time interviewing and get work done fast.

Still pretty tulan-ed

The more i think about the 3 opps per blog thingy, the more tulan i got last night. I did not write fot them last night, instead hantam for a another company till 3.30am. Okay, so i get less chance of making another $1k or so per month, what the heck. Not that my life depends on it. Just that i WANT the moolah..... iWant iWant iWant.... No more Diner Dash on the PSP for me.... blekkk

Have you ever played Diner Dash before. Neh.... the computer game that has Flo, the waitress serving all her customers as best as she can. It's now available for the PSP too and i've got it. But, i've removed it from the system today as i've given up on it. It's difficult lah, trying to manouver Flo using the analog joystick. Too many steps just to get something done.

It's easy during the initial levels, but as the game progresses and the speed picks up, my blood pressure also picks up along with the game, niamah. Just cant seem to get Flo to do anything in a timely manner. Frus the hell out of me. Time i ditch it for more games. Bye-bye Diner Dash, bye bye Flo.... cya on the computer :)

We went to Parkson as i needed to go replenish my tea supply. I'm out of Ooloong and Japanese green tea. No more Jasmine too. been drinking my precious Longjin for a while. So, i dropped by the tea gallery this evening. Uh oh.... Ooloong no stock till July. But my Pik-Lo-Chun has arrived.... YAY!!!!

Havent seen those pretty curly leaves for a long time liao. The sweet sweet taste of the oh-so-famous Pik-Lo-Chun. It's one of the 10 famous teas of China. I havent tried them all lah. Bought a can only, but ordered my Ooloong. If i can finish drinking this by the time my Ooloong arrives, i'll buy another. Will post pic tomorrow, now room so dark....

I was out the whole day today. Whole as in from 1pm to 8pm. Only reached home at 8.30pm. Just in time to kick start my pc, launch browser and open like 15 tabs, ready for the night's battle. And i've got like 1hr max to get my kids fed, bathed and in bed.

Anyway, the night started with bad news. Seems like one of the companies we write for is trying to control our blog's paidposts to a max of 3/day basis, or else they reject all our postings for their company if we exceed that. Chi9sin... Think what. No other companies to write for meh. Your opps guaranteed gonna pay me $100/day issit if i dont write for others.... knn.

I went to the kitchen to get Gordon a glass of milk and saw this when i entered the room, lol. What is he thinking of, only he knows. I'll never get to know why all his toys are underneath my chair. I cant remove them, okay. That's the way he wants it, that's where they stay until he sleeps.

Malcolm is back in bed, cant risk waking him up. I think the reason he was underneath the bed just now was to get all his toys out from there. I'll try and see if i can spot him doing that again one fine day. Till then, his friends will have to sit below my butt, lol.

Mike, my friend called to let me know that he's finally back on track and no longer dependant on drugs to help him get through the day. He underwent a 28 day addiction treatment program, though tough but he made it through.

Sigh.... both my kids are up as i'm typing this. Gordon woke up due to his cough, and Malcolm being the light sleeper, followed suit. Sat up in bed and cried. He will get very frustrated whenever he wakes up and will sure to need me to nurse him back to sleep. So, he's now in my arms; sucking away....

Aiya, as long as he's not whining, i let him be for a short while until i turn the lights off. It's the only way to get back to zzzzzzzz-land. I had a short nap just now. I think i will be here till 5 - 6am.

My brother-in-law who's a medical practitioner wants to look for a device that can scan all the medical and insurance cards of his patients. He wants to store them onto his new notebook so that all the information can be on hand when he needs to retrieve anything without going back to his office or call up the hospital. I cant even go pee now. Gordon loves to line up all his toys everywhere he deems fit nowadays. I just published the previous post and wanted to go pee. See the teddy bear in blue. It's leaning against the aluminium door that prevents mosquitos from coming into the room.

I guess today will the last day where i get to sleep till the sun shines on my backside. No more getting up 12 or 1 or 2pm. Come tomorrow, i'll have to wake up at 10.30am again. To get Gordon ready for school. And i still havent ironed his uniforms yet also. Gotta get that done bu evening. That's if i dont get dragged out gaigai again.

I think Gordon enjoys going to school more than staying at home all day long with me. I dont have much time for him as i sit in front of the pc almost 24/7. Busy with company's work. We're in the midst of migating to a new server, sien. Lots of unnecessary correspondence to handle, blah, blah, blah. I going out for tea now. More later, ya.

Anyway, when we got to the organic shop, he was still pretty whiny and the shop assistant took this out for him to munch on. You know kids, he likes it and kept asking for more *rolls eyes* So, the mother has to buy one for him lorr. Comes in a few flavors. I've not bought this for him for a long time since he finished the last can. And that's a long time ago.

More cranberry juice

Geee.... i wish hubby can remember to call the organic shop first before driving all the way to Ipoh Garden East. He forgot it's Saturday and the shop closes early. We wasted more than an hour going there. Gordon was whining in the car cos we passed by Jusco without going in there.

He whined all the way back. As hubby needed to get his Cranberry juice, we stopped by another organic shop along Jalan Kampar. I seldom come to this shop as it doesnt take credit card transactions. You know lah, organic foods are costlier than your average grocery items and i seldom carry much cash with me. At least it has what hubby came for. Happy...

I took a risk by ordering Basil fried rice with chicken for Gordon this evening. I also ordered a mushroom soup for both him and Malcolm. Yes, Malcolm loves Mushroom soup. Who doesnt, hoh. I didnt know that they put cilipadi into the fried rice. I've already done my best by removing all the cilipadi and Basil as Gordon now doesnt like vegetables.

He took a spoonful and chewed on a tiny bit of cilipadi. I think he felt the heat and stopped eating. When i gave him the next spoonful, he refused to eat, lol. But then, he asked for the mushroom soup as we dont have drinks on the table during mealtime or he'll keep drinking. So, i told him i'll make his rice special by spooning it into the mushroom soup. He whacked everything up..... phew.

Some curry puffs, kaya puffs and dunno what else. Another lazy weekend project. Not mine though. My sis'. Wait till i start my cooking and food blog, then i bake kaukau. I'll stick with what i can get from the Oldtown shop opposite Kong Heng. Think of it also making of drool. Maybe i go buy some tomorrow when i go visit my friend who's a real estate agent. His office is in Oldtown and i have to be there to sign some documents. I hope they have those woo-kok. I didnt get to try them the last time i went.

Miami Heat Tickets

Over dinner last night, Albert got to know that Donna's gonna buy some tickets online at Premium Seats USA and asked her to get him some Miami Heat Tickets. I slept at 4am last night and woke up at 12.30 just now. The moment i went out of my room and bumped into IBS#2. She always has something to say about my appearance. Just now, she commented, "Wah.... 12.30 lohhh.... the sun is shining on your backside lohh. 12.30 only wake up ahh.... Eh, your hair is so long and looks awful. And, OMG.... you have zits too.... sei lohhh..."

See, you say irritating or not. Makes me feel like telling her to take a good look at herself with all those makeup mirrors she keeps in that bag of hers, niamah. Everytime she comes over, i always see that she's checking her face with those mirrors. Dunno, wanna see if her face is gonna crack or not under all those heavy makeup gua.

I was so damn right. Gordon woke up at 10.30pm, sat up in bed and wailed, and wailed, and wailed, and wailed, and wailed..... the nyehhhhhhhh, nyehhhhhhhhh, nyehhhhhhhh sound. You say i chisin or not. Feel like banging my head against the wall now.

I know he's hungry, but my fan-toong doesnt want rice wohh. He wants yoghurt, niamah. He's already coughing like hell and he wants cold yoghurt wohhh.... sort9jorr. I refused, and more wailing. Then he asked for milk, which i happily made, but then he saw the bottle of fresh milk belonging to his Aunt inside the fridge, and refused his goat's milk. Again, more wailing.

He declined all his favorite snacks. Oranic Rice Cracker dont want, cornflakes also dont want. I cooked him bihun, with marmite soup, took his milk into the room. That's it. If he doesntwant those, i whack them all up and get fat.

Gordon down and out at 8.00pm.....

We had an early dinner at a nearby restaurant. Malcolm was asleep in bed and did not follow us along. By the time we got home, he was still fast asleep. I went to take a quick bath, whilst hubby played with the Sony PSP in bed with Gordon looking on.

When i got back into the room, Gordon was fast asleep right between Malcolm and hubby. Seii lorrr.... it's only 8pm lidat. I think he's gonna wake up sometime around 10pm, and then.... sigh.... ngor jan hai hou mm tak han lerrr... I bet he'll be whiny like he always does when he naps at this hour. And hubby wont be around.....

Here's another video of Gordon playing games at my computer. This is one of his favorite games, Delicious. Watch how he launches the game all on his own. Been doing that since he turned 3 years old. He'll always run up to me and tell me the names of the food he recognises in the game. Gameplay can really teach a child many things. Definitely more interactive than watching VCD alone.

Both serve different roles. But, no matter what, we must make it a point to accompany our children when they are at the computer or watching TV. It's fun to point things out to them and teach them that way. With parental guidance, children really do learn faster than left alone on their own.

I hardly ever take Gordon across the road to the playground . As Malcolm's never sat in the swing before, we took both kids over and let them have some fun. We're actually very lucky to have such a swing that can seat a baby in it over here. Many moms take their babies here to the playground just to sit in this swing and i hardly ever use it.

One reason is that there are many youths playing football here in the evening. I'm afraid that they might accidentally kick the football over to the swing and that has happened many times before. But, we do have a swing right at our front porch. I prefer to sit there and knit as Gordon cycles outside. I can only do so when and if Malcolm is taking a nap. Hope you enjoyed the video :)

Bought these when i was pregnant with Gordon about 4 years back. I love glass bakeware and cookware. Dont like to use non-stick pots and pans as they can be detrimental to our health. It's already well proven that these kind of cookware contributes to cancer.

All my Pyrex are now sitting pretty in my sis' kitchen drawer, lol. I no longer bake anything nowadays as i havent bought my oven yet. Any recommendation? I still havent gotten round to starting my cooking blog yet. Perhaps it's time i explore this and see how i fare in cooking?

It was just not too long ago that we celebrated Mother's Day, right. Now, if i remember right, hubby pissed me off that day. I cant really remember the details very much, but it's definitely real-life work related. Maybe something about those notorious last-minute instructions that needs immediate attention like urgent emails, call who and who, blah,blah, blah.

He knows very well that i cannot do things immediately as i may be tending to both my princes. So, half the time, we argue over petty issues like these almost on a daily basis. He called and enquired my whereabout and asked me to join him for dinner as he got a table down atthe Japanese Restaurant on the ground floor. Of course i went. I dont argue on an empty stomach, k. So, now you all know why i didnt blog about how i celebrated Mother's Day. It sucked mah..... but i did have a few nice photographs with the kids to remember the day taken by him though, lol.

Hubby getting forgetful lohhh

Hubby bought a new Fila travelling bag last Tuesday as he got bored with his old one. I picked a matching one for myself and it's now become my new knitting bag. You can view it at Fibre Art, my knitting blog. I quite like this new range of Fila bags and may want to get the messenger bag too. My vainpot has a weird habit of buying something new to wear everytime he has to travel. And this time, it's two new neckties.

Yesterday, when he came back, i was surprised to see the shirts i ironed for him to wear for his trip were practically untouched. Wah..... very funny worrr. He then told me he cant find the two new neckties he bought, lol. I told him he put it into the inner zippered compartment of his new bag and i unzipped it for him. And there they were, all new and practically untouched, kakakakaka. Now i wonder what he'll pick up to match those ties with for his next trip.

Apartments are better than hotels

Since the beginning of this year, hubby's been traveling a lot. Nearly once every fortnight or so. The kids miss him like crazy. But, what to do, the business is expanding and it is imperative that he has to be around when there are presentations going on. Once we get past thois stage, he wont need to travel that much and can spend lots of time home with the kids and i.

His schedule is also ad hoc. Booking a hotel room for him at the very last minute is also another major obstacle i have to face nearly everytime he has to travel. Not that he likes to stay in hotel rooms also. He always say that hotels lacks the kind of privacy that Luxury Serviced Apartments provides. 5 more days till Monday, then it's FREEDOM!!!! 5 more days and i'm out of jail!!!! Gee, i wonder how Paris Hilton feels in there now that i've mentioned jail. Sure get celebrity treatment wannn. Take it as a retreat lah. Has her own cell wohhhh.... bliss-nya.

Malcolm is fast asleep in my left arm now as i type. Cant leave him on the bed alone or else Gordon will pounce on him like a jockey riding a horse. My poor baby really dont get to nap much in Korkor's presence..... sigh....

Hubby brought back tons of receipts for me to claim. Keying them in one by one now. Have to submit them to accounts tomorrow. That vainpot shops so much, more than i do, lol. Had better claim those bills faster than he swipes the credit card. Gotta go..... GOT WORK!!!!

Come, meet Goofy. Hubby bought it for Gordon. I think given the choice and availability, he's gonna buy the whole gang back. There's still 5 more to go jek, lol. See, Goofy's nearly as big as Malcolm, wakakakakaka. And he's not afraid of it at all. Sometimes, he'll hug Goofy to sleep also.

I didnt let Gordon nap this noon. He's been playing computer games, watching VCD and playing with his toys all day long. It's about time i put the both of them to bed already. Dont think they can stay up long enough to wait for hubby's return. Midnight worrrrr..... Geee... i gotta go :)

Brotherly fun

I seldom see Gordon playing with malcolm in this manner. Half the time, he's bullying him. Kicking him playfully with his legs or pushing his head down onto the mattress or floor. So, i was pretty surprised to see him holding him and swaying in tune to the music. If only he can be this loving with Malcolm at all times, lol. Lucky for me the handphone's right in front of me, so, here's another precious video for all of you to enjoy :)

All my urls on business cards?

Geeeee.... i hate it when people ask me what i do. What do i tell them? That i'm a silai? A SAHM? A WAHM? A cyber8phor? A blogger? Yeah... yeah.... i had a somewhat more glamorous title last time. I ran my own interior designing firm. I ditched all that to stay home to look after two kids that drives me insane 24/7.

Many friends of mine still dont know what a blogger is. And when i tell them i have websites, they always want my urls. Ya ya ya.... like they'll drop by and give me organic traffic, lol. Anyway, it really does get tiring writing down all my website's url for them. I have so many websites now that i have a problem remembering all of them. I think it's time i print those that i update regularly on business cards and hand them out to friends. What do you think?? Good idea??

My aunt's gold coins

I overheard my aunt talking about her gold coins her MIL gave her when she got married. She's thinking of giving them to my cousin brother. She asked my mom if they worth much or not these day. Wow, my aunt must be really old and senile. Gold is so expensive now and yet she doesnt know how much they are worth.

If i have lots of money, i'll be sure to buy some from Monex Deposit Company and keep them as family heirlooms. She also says that all her MIL's children received a few each from her before she passed away. My aunt is solucky. I got some gold jewelry from my MIL too when i got married. But they're really nothing compared to those gold coins.

Hubby wants a fire-proof filing cabinet

I think it's high time hubby's buys a filing cabinet back to keep them out of Gordon's reach. He keeps telling me where he keeps his files and i keep forgetting what he tells me most of the time. I have this habit of stashing everything that he gives me on top of the cupboard. What to do, that's the only way to ensure they are safe.

We saw one at Parkson the other day. But it's too big and so expensive. I have to source for some discount office supplies. He says he'll need to buy a few more for the office also. More work for me to do. But then, good also. At least he'll know where all his important files are. I wonder how much would a fire-proof one costs. Hopefully not oo expensive.

No folding chairs, puhleeeze...

MIL suggested that we buy a few folding chairs and keep them in the kitchen. We already have many plastic stacking chairs. More chairs??? But half of them are cracked on the seat that "bites" your bum as you sit on them, lol. As they're not mine, i cant throw them away.

Folding chairs may be a good idea, but frankly speaking, we dont have that much space in the kitchen to place them properly. I dont want them to end up inside the guest room gathering dust. We have tons of unused stuff at home already. Moreover, i dont really fancy having folding chairs at home as they pose a dangerous item with kids around the house.

I just got off MSN with my cousin. She asked me if i can attend her graduation. What a good question. How i wish i can attend. But i dont think the rest of the people is gonna like having two wailing kids in the hall, lol.

She's very happy that she no longer has to attend school every morning and can go to work and earn money. YAH!!! She now has to repay her college loan. And according to her, the interest is really high. She wants to find out on more information regarding student loan consolidation.

Laundry therapy??? Got such thing meh???

The whole of Saturday morning till evening was spent doing laundry. I once read that people actually take laundry as a therapy as they like and feel good looking and smelling at freshly washed clothes. Ya.... tell me about that. Come do mine, thank you very much.

I did 5 freaking loads today. There's actually not much to wash. I just separated everything, lol. There were the bedsheets, jeans & towels, the whites, hubby's clothes and the kids & mine. Seee... i sot or not??? I only wash for 4 persons and i need 5 loads to finish, niamah. What kind of silai is this????

Thank you Laundryamah, Mommy to chumsy and Doris for your suggestions to help me remove that darned tea stain from hubby's favorite Timberland tee. I did none of it. When i told hubby that i was gonna use clorox (something which i'll never use unless absolutely necessary) on his tee, naturally he freaked, lol.

He then told me to use try the e.fresh enzyme wash first, one of the many products that we carry. Geeee... why didnt i think of that, hoh. So, i took a scoop and made it into a paste and applied it on the tea stain. That enzyme wash felt warm in the container once i added water to it. Must be "geng" stuff :D. And yes, it worked. Nonid to replace his Timberland tee now.... happy.

I then tried it on another two white tees, one of which is also Timberland; sigh.... that got stained with patches of pink from Gordon's school uniform cos the mother forgot to separate the wash. Didnt work that well. Only about 85% success. I'll do another round when i'm in the mood for that, or maybe when i'm just plain efnd....

Home with the kids

Hubby just left for Singapore. Wont be back till Monday or Tuesday gua. He took the kids out shopping yesterday evening and bought a VCD each for them both. Said that'll keep them occupied and off my back in his absence, lol. Get real, darr.... Think so easy issit, issit, issit...

In a way, it's also true as they do pine for him when he's not around. Gordon will ask for "Papa" and i'll have to sms him to see if i can call up or not in case he's in a meeting. I guess there'll be more phonecalls, or rather videocalls once we have 3G service in godforsaken Ipoh-land, geeee. Just why on earth is it that Ipoh's always the last place to have anything.

I bought two pairs of skinny jeans. All the more better to match them with my 3" heels :). I'm so darn skinny now that my jeans are practically falling off my hips, niamah. And i bought them not too long after Malcolm's born. I guess i wont be able to put on much weight till Malcolm's completely weaned off me. I was on a mission to put on 10lbs in 30days last month. Sorry, hoh. Didnt materialise lohhh.... sigh.

I noticed the lines are farking slow of late. Are you affected? The pages take like a zillion years to load, niamah. By the time it finally loads, i've already forgotten what i wanted to say already. It's worse at night, when half the world wakes up to do paidposts. Even though i hardly write thee days, i'm still entitled to a rant, right.

Gordon already pwned my pc for most of the days. I only get to blog mostly at night now. Unless i let him play with the PSP. This is also another major headache for me as he keeps running up to me and ask me to switch games for him or help him make the charactermove on-screen.... yerrrrrrrrrrrr. End of rant!!!

0% credit card balance transfer

I've finally settled most of my outstanding payments on the oh-so-many credit cards that i own. Most of them have recurring payments on them to keep the card running. But the peril lies when i forget to make my repayment on time. That's when interest starts to accumulate. Apart from that, doesnt look good on my credit history also.

My friend has just switched to the new Mint credit card. Says it now offers a 14.9% APR. How nice. All mine are at 18% APR. And also, it offers 0% on purchases until 1 January 2008, 0% on credit card balance transfer until 1 August 2008 with a 2.5% balance transfer fee. I also carried out a credit card balance transfer on one of my cards to save on interest. But the 0% only lasts 3 months.
