Medical and insurance card scanner
My brother-in-law who's a medical practitioner wants to look for a device that can scan all the medical and insurance cards of his patients. He wants to store them onto his new notebook so that all the information can be on hand when he needs to retrieve anything without going back to his office or call up the hospital. Another feature he's looking for is the ability to export the files to a 3rd party application for processing.
I asked around a few of my friends, who are also doctors, and they recommended that he try The Medicscan + ScanShell 800N package that will allow him to easily scan the image of medical insurance cards. They've been using it and says that it can do all that he requires and more. Some of their key features are:
- Stored as a file on your PC or LAN server
- Exported to a 3rd party applications
- Published via FTP
- Sent by E-mail
I guess with the Mediscan, he'll be able to improve customer service, have less paper work, increase his productivity and reduce unnecessary errors. He can spend more time treating his patients that sitting at his office managing his files.
