Back to school?

I have a friend who keeps complaining that she's not earning enough to cope with her month;y expenses. I told her to shop less and to invest a part of her salary. Best is to cut up all her credit cards since she's an impulsive shopper. She says she wants to pursue an online degree at capella university so that she can get that promotion next year. I told her to go ahead and do it whilst still young. It takes time to get that degree. Certainly not an overnight matter, right. Sigh.... i wish i have the time to pursue one now. Any recommendations what course to take?
