Ingredients that clog pores

Many are not aware that what they're putting on their face may be the reason why their acne just wouldnt clear. So, if you're continuosly having acne breakouts, you may want to to check the labels on your beauty products. Here are some of the most notorious pore blockers to avoid:

  • Synthetic lanolins (acetylated lanolin alcohol, lanolic acid or anhydrous lanolin)
  • Mineral oils
  • Isopropyl myristate
  • Butyl stearate
  • Capric/caprilic triglyceride
  • Octyl palmitate and stearate

Let your pores breathe as much as possible. Wash it a few times a day using only plain water. Or you can try using a cleanser made from tea tree oil, which helps clear up acne gently. If you have sever acne problem, you should seek the advise of a certified dermatologist to assess the underlying problem.

hey samm, just want to add in two cents if i may. u mentioned tea tree oil, and i realized recently i haven't been getting my pimples (about time too! at this age!) and guess what i have been using? Cellnique which i got from watsons when i was KL last oct. it contains tea tree and eucalyptus oil! but in gel form and very refreshing. just thot u might like to know :)
