Disclosure Policy for blog ads

Finally, Mike Arrington has a few good words to say about PayPerPost. It now seems that bloggers will now have to disclose that some of their posts are being paid for. This is due to recent moves by the FTC to force word-of-mouth advertisers to disclose any financial incentives for bloggers to promote their products or services. The official press release will be out on Monday.
Of cos bloggers have a choice to either display the disclosure prominently on their blog ads or disclose it somewhere within their posts. I will most likely choose the latter as this will help my readers distinguish between paid posts from my regular writes. This will be a win-win move for all parties involved, PayPerPost, bloggers, advertisers and my blog readers.
