4-in-a-bed and the little one said.... roll over, roll over.....

I finally set the second playpen up (mine.....the one without the bassinet) in my bedroom last night. I folded up a spare comforter into a makeshift mattress and pulled a cover over it. After battling with multiple sleeping patterns and routines, i think this may be the best solution. Malcolm doest really like to sleep in the highchair at night. Prefers to sleep with me. So, it's 4-in-a-bed on nights when hubby's home....and it's a Queen-sized bed.

So, Malcolm now sleeps in the living hall during the day. I dont know why, but Malcolm likes to poo at night. He makes a lot of noise when he wants to poo, lol. On nights he slept with me, breastfeeding was pretty easy. Just place him on the other side after i've nursed him and he'll be ready for his next feed when it suits him. Now, i've to pick him up from the playpen and nurse him sitting up in bed...... zzzzzz. Well, at least i get more space to sleep after that and dont have to worry about smothering him.

Gordon will roll and sleep all over the bed. On a brighter note, Gordon now reclaims his highchair, and i reclaim quite a fair bit of sanity. Feeding sessions will be less of a headache with no more running around and me yelling with a cane in my hand..... aye, yai, yai. But now, he'll have lesser space to play in the bedroom. He'll just have to learn to play in the living hall from now on.

Oh well, lets see how the playpen routine turns out to be after a few nights. With Malcolm being a tummy sleeper, i guess the playpen will be a permanent fixture in the bedroom.

He used to sleep in highchair? How to? :O

We may be in the same situation with you. 4 in a bed. And you know how big my hubby is, and I'm not as petite as you.

When they're just a bit older, you might be interested in the (literally) best parenting tip my wife and I ever received. You can read about it in The Five-Minute Drill. It might save you hours of sleep some night - it certainly did for us.
