How i find time to knit with 2 kids now?
This is for Zara's mama who asked me this question.
The time when i first came home with Malcolm, it was havoc. With me still in pain, and Gordon's rather cranky, life with 2 kids wasnt really easy without hired help. Hubby was home to help out during Malcolm's first week of life. When he left for KL, I had to do mostly everything by myself. MIL only cooked for me, and bathed Malcolm on alternate days. She feeds and bathes Gordon for me too. On days she says she's feeling tired, i asked her not to bathe Malcolm.
After about a week, she says she cannot handle Gordon during feeding time and so, i fed him again. Gordon bathes on his own. Oh... let's just say i let him play by himself with the water in the bathroom for about 10 minutes or so and then i give him the final rinse. Malcolm sleeps most of the time. Breastfeeding only takes about 15 - 20 minutes.
It became more manageable when i finally worked out a sleep/nap routine with my two boys. On days when Gordon wakes up early, say bout 8 - 9am, i'll give him his nap. If not, forget about it. He'll usually be down and out by 9pm. On days he napped from 2 - 4pm, he'll sleep at 11pm. And since i dont do much housework except my own laundry and mop the floor when i feel like it, that leaves me with ample time to practically do what i want. So, i knit.
I knit damn fast, which is a blessing. What i can knit in an hour may be what others need three hours to complete. A row here, a row there.... my pieces finishes fast. So, i hope this answers Zmm's question. Thinking of knitting? It's a good hobby to unwind yourself after a long day. Knit for Zara lah, fast and easy. And she'll be very pleased wearing your wan-luin-pai.

For me.. got time I'll read a book.. no time to knit.
I used to crouchet blouses for myself.. but never wore them.. Haha.. I'm not that 'skillful' and don't bother to improve.. so no knitting/croucheting for me.. :P
