No, i'm not going over to my neighbour's house.
The courier guy came to deliver a package just now. I went out and collected it since i heard him honking away. FIL was already at the door when i said i'd take it in instead. As i was walking back towards the house, old lady next door yelled over the fence for me.
I know what she wants lah. For reasons known only to her, her Astro or tv just refuse to cooperate with her and requires my intervention again, ugh. She only ever watches Wah Lai Toi, and her system's already pre-programmed to do just that.
At first, she'll walk over, make some small talk with my MIL, and when she see me coming out of my room, will ask me to go over and help her out. Of course, as a nice neighbour, how to refuse an old lady. And also, to give face to my MIL lah.
After a few times, now she'll just conveniently yell, and yell, and yell over the fence until MIL/FIL/me walk out to see what's happening. And everytime, it's her Astro/tv. Until my in-laws also tulan already. Damn sien. She loves to brag and everytime i'm over, she'll brag, and brag, and brag.....
You see, she only ever yells in the afternoon, when her children/grandchild are not at home. I think you'd get fed-up also if you were to help her out on the same problem like twice a week sometimes, every other week or so. My in-laws have grown to ignore her. They sleep in the afternoon and wont you be tulan-ed if you were to be waken only to find that it's not an emergency. Moreover, she's not yelling for them.
Luckily i was holding a package and i just told her flatly that i'm in the midst of feeding Gordon and sorry, cant help her then. Maybe later when i'm done with my chores, of which i'll just conveniently forget about it. She can very well miss an episode and watch the re-runs.

Yup, really sien sounding, when it becomes a chore, rather than the pleasant helping hand it was supposed to be in the first place..
U yell back at her saying: Diuniasing ! Ngm Tak Han la! LOL!
Pass her a few yamade vcd so that she will be pre-occupied for the next few hours while you nap.
Throw in a vibrator for her also. LOL
Not only you have weird SILs you have weird neighbours too.. *sigh*.. no wonder you so skinny.
