I'm going potty over this
Gordon has just turned two and i'm now at that stage; wondering whether to let him run around sans diapers or not.
Potty in the bathroom
This is Gordon's potty. Courtesy of his aunt, who has three beautiful beautiful girls of her own. Isn't it grown-up looking. I've had it since Gordon's only a couple of months old. Mostly for display purpose only. I've put it on the staircase, at the hallway leading to the kitchen and right now, it's in the bathroom; pending full usage.
He doesn't like sitting on it. Maybe he finds it a tad too big for his lil bum and keeps slipping into it one sided. Since it's quite light, it wobbles a lil bit and perhaps, that might be another reason as to why he refuse to sit on it.
I've personally shown him what the potty's for. I've even sat on it whilst he giggles away at me. He's seen me on the big throne before and even attempts to climb up to sit on it with me. So, why doesnt he like his? One thing for sure, he likes putting his hand into the hole when he's sitting on it.
Oh, well. Maybe i should just let him run around bare-assed once in a while. After a few accidental pees on the floor, he'll finally know what wee-wee is. Hopefully, that's gonna encourage him to pee in the potty.

Hmmm. Samm, you tried using cloth diapers for bubs or do you already? Apparently (I read too much on the internet cause lots of grown up girl pads are made by WAHMs that primarily make cloth diapers), that really speeds up the potty training. Something about feeling the dry/wetness vs. disposables where it feels always wet. or something
I know, but me just plain lazy to wash and fold his cloth nappies every other day. and yes, he really cant feel the wetness in disposables. but i'll get him some bumwear for night time use soon. mebe i'll start taking him to the bathroom every hour or so when not in diapers.
definitely check out www.bumwear.com - singaporean and their diapers look fabulous - plus no folding required at all).
I want to get a set (to show only) when I do the pads at fairs.
There's a co. that sells here in M'sia in mont Kiara (KL) - their website is here: http://www.thebabyloft.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=2_27
MYR60 per diaper, so not really that value for you though (supposed to be usable from newborn to toddler)
Let me know how it goes... curious to know if true or not (cloth helping potty training along)
