My Birthday Wish
I visited my girlfriend at the hospital last Saturday. She gave birth to a 35wk pre-emmie via c-sect as her bp was sky-high. Baby Jasmine is sooooo tiny; weighs a mere 1.8kg. That's hardly 4lbs. But my, she's so pretty. Whole headful of hair, very pink and smells heavenly.

I held her for almost an hour there. Mommy had to go to the bathroom and she cried. She stopped crying as soon as i picked her up. And went back to slumberland shortly after.
Her mom told me that she's a guzzler. That's good, as my friend was a bit worried that her milk wouldn't come in as it was so early and that Jasmine cant suck yet when she sms-ed me on Friday morning. I told her that God will take care of everything and that i'll pray for both their safety. I guess God must have heard.
I made an early birthday wish that day when i saw Jas. I wished for a baby. I said; "For this birthday, I want a baby". My friend insisted that i must finish the sentence by saying "I want a baby boy/girl", haha. I already have a boy, Gordon, my miracle baby. He took me 7yrs to conceive. You know, being chinese and married to the eldest son in the family, getting a baby boy at first shot surmounts that of winning the lottery. A very monumental event as far as my in-laws are concerned.
Secretly, i want two this time; a boy and a girl. Then, i can close shop. I'm getting greedy. But i'll be happy whether it's a boy or a girl. As long as they are perfectly healthy. What more can i wish for.

God bless baby Jas. Tell your friend that baby Jas will be at her full term weight when she reaches 40 weeks. All babies do that. They just grow and grow, whether they are out of the womb or in the womb.
