Miessence organic toothpaste

I have an old coffee stain on my front bonded tooth due to its rough surface. A dark brown stain amidst white pearls that nothing seems to be able to remove it permanently. An ugly reminder of my coffee-drinking days. Nothing removed it.

I've been using this particular toothpaste for a while now. Miessence anise toothpaste. I brought in all 3 flavours; Mint - everybody's hot favourite, Lemon - kids simply lurves this, and Anise - since it sounded funny to me. And funny it is. No hint of anise at all, in fact, it taste like fennel seeds. The kind you chew on after an indian meal. And upon close scrutiny, it's listed on the ingredient list.

I was brushing my teeth this morning when it hit me. Why don't i just rub some on the stain and see what happens. So, i squeezed a little out and rubbed it vigorously on my bonded tooth. And VOILA!! It's gone. It does not contain fluoride, aluminium, artificial sweeteners or detergents and it's certified organic by ACO. Certainly the most efficient toothpaste i've used so far. But i doubt if i'll ever order anise again. I'll stick to either mint or lemon in the future since everyone wants these two only. My next batch of stock will arrive next week. Cant wait to try out the body lotion then.

I don't know if I could brush with Anise every day - the taste of it! :P

Did use Tom's of Maine for a while though.

It doesnt taste like anise. Like fennel lah, hehe. I prefer certified organic products to so-claimed natural products.. like what's fluoride and sls doing in a kid's toothpaste??

I dunno... fennel also tastes kinda skanky! (basing opinion on fennel tea)

Have you checked out the Paul Penders range? very natural, unlike that avalon crap.

Of course depends on the certification :O Here in Malaysia I don't know ... best always to read the ingredients list I find - which you obviously do!

MistressM: Yup, checked and verified. Certified Organic by ACO & BFA (Australia) & USDA (USA). Thank god i brought only 2 tubes of anise. Or else my customers will all run away, lol. malaysian certification is all bull.
