Would you sell your gold if the price is right?

My MIL asked me the other day why i never wear the gold jewelry she gave me when i married hubby. Geeee.... who wears gold jewelry these days. I might just get mugged on the streets. Times are bad and i always have this feeling that there's a lunatic lurking somewhere around. Anyways, i told her i'm going to keep them all inside the safe deposit box on my next trip to the bank. I also told her i may sell some of those that i really dont want if the price of gold is high enough. I'm still not satisfied with its current price. What about you? Would you prefer to sell your gold or give them to your kids next time?
