Fireproofing solution for your house

I live in a village during my childhood years. And one of my favorite pastime is playing "masak-masak" (pretend to cook) at the front porch. As i live right across the street from a sundry shop, believe you me when i tell you i have no shortage of things to cook, lol. Broken eggs, onions and garlic that have gone black, and bits of anchovies are just some of the things the sundry shop owner allows me to take from the shop. He knows i wont eat them, k. Reason being her son happens to be my playmate too.

We have a plot of sandy right outside the house and that's where i set up my kitchen, complete with mini wok and pan my mom bought me. Not those plastic versions your kids play these days. But miniaturised versions of everything she uses to cook in the kitchen. I get to use matches and set up a fire with newspapers, twigs and bits of coal too. And no, i didnt burn my house even once as i can only play "masak-masak" at the sandy area when my mom is home and watching. This is one strict rule that cannot be broken. And who gets to eat my cooking? The family dog, lol.

I dont think my kids will ever get to play "masak-masak" like i did when i was a kid. Kids all like to play with fire. And if not careful, they may burn the house down. Many houses and lives are lost that way in villages. Parents being far too busy trying to make ends meet to mind nor notice what their kids are up to. Those days, there werent such a thing as using fireproof sealant when constructing houses or buildings. Without proper fireproofing, fire spreads easily and causes massive damage and huge financial losses.

Whether you are constructing your house or a business setup like a factory, it's recommended to have proper fireproofing in place. Discuss with your architect and contractor to ensure that this important safety isnt left out. If you need more information in steel fireproofing or what kind of fire barrier sealant to use, you can check out the links i left here in this post. Fire can be both your friend and enemy. And dont ever let your kids play "masak-masak" the way i did without proper supervision. They will burn the house down.
