How i got my kids to eat on their own
Seeing my kids eat by themselves is the happiest thing as far as parenting is concerned. It only means i have one less duty to do. It's messy at first. So, i never let them eat by themselves at home. We eat out quite often. So, the best time to let them learn how to eat by themselves is to let them try it out at the restaurant. Who cares how they mess the place up. That's what waitresses and waiters are for, k. To clean up the mess.
See how Gordon spoon food into his mouth, lol. He nearly whacked the whole plate of flied lice (fried rice, k) up all by himself. Ya, some fell down onto the floor. But not much as i helped him scoop the rice onto his spoon. Just need to hold his hand and guide him a little. Clever boy, hoh. He seldom gets to eat by himself at home unless i make him sit inside the kitchen. Too bad he likes to eat inside the carpeted bedroom....ughhhh.
Here's Malcolm having a go at feeding himself. We just let him have a teaspoon and an empty plate with a little rice on it. Too bad he'd rather play the rice and throw them down onto the floor. Half will stick onto his pants. Hubby didnt know and tried to brush them off with a serviette. Rub them into the fabric more likely. He's gotta learn to pick them off Malcolm's clothes next time. Who says parenting is easy. Needs lots of common sense wann, you know.
