Bruise facts

A bruise apprears when an impact or injury causes blood to pool in tissue beneath the skin. According to the United States National Library of Medicine, if you have a bruise, avoid any activities that could aggravate the area.

If the bruise causes extreme pain, swells or the pressure doesnt go away, you may need to seek immediate medical attention because it may indicate a serious condition. Contact your doctor if you bruise easily, or if you have any signs of infection such as redness, discharge or fever.
