Sibling rivalry?
I can sense that Gordon's a wee bit jealous of Malcolm. I try not to pamper Malcolm in front of him, but i cannot help it when i have to breastfeed him. It's either i have to carry him or do it lying in bed or on a mattress on the bedroom floor. If i were to carry Malcolm in my arms, Gordon will try to drag me off my butt and do things for him like change vcd, refill his tumbler, get him pau-pau, poo-poo, endless.
If i can help it, i do it for him. But Malcolm's getting bigger, longer and heavier by the day and carrying him while attending to Gordon isnt really easy. So, sometimes, i give him a firm "NO". And that'll set off another round of floor thrashing and wailathon. I'll just amuse myself watching him thrash around and wail until i'm done with Malcolm, watudu. He's gotta learn somehow that the world doesnt evolve around him only.
Sometimes, when i'm not looking, he'll kick out at Malcolm. If i catch him doing that, i'll tell him firmly that he'll hurt Malcolm by doing so. No point scolding and screaming as i feel that'll only make him resent his brother. I'm only afraid he'll kick him off the bed down onto the floor if i'm not looking. So, most of the time, Malcolm plays by himself on the floor for safety reasons. Even so, Gordon will sometimes cheekily press down on Malcolm's head until his face touches then floor. If that's not sibling rivalry, what is it.... haihhhh....

I used to get so many punches in the arm, they're perpetually bruised. ok ok, that's exaggerating, but I did get bullied by my brother quite a bit!

Groom Gordon to be the protector of his little brother.
I'm sure he'll take pride in that 'taikor' role.
