Chrysanthemum Tea for Gordon
I just remembered i had some first grade chrysanthemum hubby bought from China. It was sitting pretty on the kitchen cabinet top and i've totally forgotten about it. It's hot these days. So, i made some for Gordon to drink. He's been eating quite a fair bit of CNY crap. Chrysanthemum tea has natural antiseptic properties and cools the body. Good for sore throat, fever and heat-related ailments.
Here's how i steep chrysanthemum tea. I use a 500ml thermos flask. Put a small fistful of chrysanthemum buds into the flask together with about 3 - 5 small lumps of rock sugar, pour hot water (90 deg C) into the flask and close it tightly. It'll be ready to drink in about 30 minutes. Just be careful when you pour it out. It'll still be VERY hot.
