My sis is going to be really happy when she hears that there's going to be a Charles Bronson remake of “Death Wish Returns”. Celebrity Eric Schiffer has agreed to star in the new upcoming independent release. Filming will begin in December 2007 in Glasgow, Scotland and will be released in mid 2008. And that's about 18 months from now. I wonder if she can wait that long or not, lol.
This controversial, 1974 drama exploits urban paranoia and presents vigilantism as cathartic release. But it is also a captivating, Everyman-ish story of a New Yorker who goes through a sea change after crime depletes his family, and who runs afoul of the law while taking it into his own hands. Charles Bronson stars as the vengeance-seeking urban warrior who goes on a punk-killing spree after his wife and daughter are attacked by intruders.
I was still a baby when this film was shown, but to my sis, it's something big then. Well, i'll definitely watch it when it debuts in 2008.
