Spend time to talk and listen to your children

When they are babies, parents should pay attention to what messages their children are sending. Make time to tune in to your children and discover what are their likes and dislikes. As children get older, be consistent in what you tell them to do.

Children can function better when they are given time to response. Teenagers may be older but they too require time to gather their thoughts before they can respond verbally or openly share their idea. Dont expect an immediate respond from them. Given time and patience, we can therefore communicate better with our children.
