Camtasia Studio 4.0 Screen Recording Software Review
The hugely popular "Full-Motion Screen Recording Software" Camtasia Studio is finally here. It has several useful features, including support for the iPod's M4V format, and workgroup tools that ensure consistency among multiple Camtasia users in the same company. Camtasia Studio is the complete professional solution for recording, editing and sharing high-quality screen video on the Web, CD-ROM and portable media players.
To me, the most interesting thing the company did this week was add an online service to Camtasia, Screencast.com. The site is one of literally hundreds of video sites, but since it's built to display screencasts, there are a few differences. Screencast.com is an easy and affordable new hosting solution for professionals who want to share multimedia content on the Web. You can publish your videos directly to Screencast.com from Camtasia Studio 4.0. Then, send your viewers to Screencast.com to see your content, or use the site’s built-in RSS and iTunes functionality to automatically deliver the content to them.
With Camtasia Studio, you can produce professional-quality video presentations with small file sizes to post on the Internet, burn on CD-ROM, or deliver any way you choose in all the popular file formats.

With Camtasia Studio 3 they partnered with Liquid Web and had a site called www.projectstreamer.com. That site you could upload Camtasia Videos as well. TechSmith created screencast.com because Liquid Web wasn't going to continue the service or create extra features to the hosting service.
Then, those who use version 4 will find screencast offers them more fexibility. well, they now have another option.
