A vest for Malcolm

I finally dug out my knitting bag. Had a fine time sliding underneath the bed on my back and digging those boxes out. It seems that i still have a few old unfinished projects inside those boxes. Ugh, i'll continue to forget about them for the time being and focus on new ones instead. That's always more inspiring and exciting.

I havent knitted in a long time. If i'm not wrong, most likely for more than a year and a half since the last unfinished project was a tee for Gordon. He wont be able to fit in it even though i finish it now, so i'll leave that for later. Malcolm will get to wear that instead. I have lots of leftover yarns from old projects. Havent really figured out what to do with them yet. Most likely make bikinis with them since i seldom wear bras anyway. Will come in handy when i'm breastfeeding.

Eat-full-nothing-to-do me drove to Yik Foong to shop for new yarn. Glorious 100% egyptian cotton yarn.... oh so soft and my.... those yardage. 212m/50g balls for Rm30 each; and so many colors to choose from. Not bad lah. Bought a dozen in 4 colors for the time being. Need time to get those fingers working smoothly and with speed again. Once i work myself up to a frenzied knitting state, i'll go do bulk yarn buying. Cant wait.

Malcolm's 1st Vest: From Mama with love

I'm working on a vest for Malcolm in crochet as my first project. Its oh-so-tiny. Think it'll take a couple of days to finish. Wonderful way to kill time instead of sitting in front of the pc all day long. I'm not too bothered as i've delegated much of the online work back to hubby. I'll leave him to do some self-ranting of his own. He knows pretty well once i start knitting again, it's difficult impossible to get me to do anything else. I've been knitting long BEFORE we got together. So, he cant protest, pppbbbtttt.

And only this morning, he started his first whine by saying that i shouldnt be knitting when he's working at the pc. Blamed me for Maybank's delay in sending him the notification sms after he did a fund transfer. Diu, like i own the blardy bank or what??? I'm so gonna ignore him. He can take care of his own online stuffs from now onwards. My official maternity leave just started until i say it ends, YAHOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

King's wife - 6???? How many years ago was that? Might as well unravel it and knit a bag with the yarn. Or easier, send me everything which u no longer want/need..... tenkiu, tenkiu.....

5xmom - Knitting is the ONLY way i find therapeutic relieve from everyday stresses. Not that i have much now. But going to the yarn shop for frenzy shopping is the best of all. And once i start, impossible to stop.

Good to see someone who knits, crafts are a dying trait with Msian Chinese women, hehe. Your bed sounds like a magical bed, lots of stuff seems to be stored under there *LOL* Your due date is near, all the best. Can't wait to see your healthy baby :)

hey, you're knitting again!

I solved my leftover/unfinished yarn dilemma. I gave it to the bf to knit. He's a better knitter than I am.

cocka - who says hubby's kkc left in the cold these few months, hah? hah? hah? many ways to keep it warm wat, pppbbbtttt!!!!

g - i've been knitting since my teens. i'll never give it up for anything else. actually i prefer to sleep on a lowered bed, but i needed the space to store stuffs. That's why i bought an elevated bed frame. And also, i cant wait to see what Malcolm looks like also. Phoebe is such a cutie.... awww, i love lil girls. And the knitwear for girls are always prettier and sweeter. I'll work harder on my next bb after Malcolm, lol.

simmie - i luv a man who knits. what does he knit? is he a sweater man or a scarf guy?

zara's mama - can, must wait a few days more, k. crochet designs are not hot for our weather. so many holes, how to be hot? actually, it's the choice of yarn that matters. 100% COTTON!!!!! No acrylics/rayons/wool/etc for bbs and kiddies at all.
