Parties and wedding dinners for Gordon
Last week's been a tad busy. It's a party week. We went for a wedding dinner on Wednesday night. By the 4th course, i got a bad gastritis attack. I had some ketchup with my fish earlier on in the afternoon and somehow, it doesnt agree with my system and decided to inform me during dinner, knn. Had to retch everything up to feel better. I'm an expert at that. Whatever that doesnt agree with me must come out. That's the only way.
At least Gordon was happy throughout dinner and did not make a fuss. Ate everything that i gave him and was a very good boy. That's why i love taking him along everywhere i go. The only thing which i managed to eat was the warm and sweet "tong-sui" which seem to make my tummy much better.
Thursday and Friday was spent relaxing back home and doing nothing at all. Just taking care and giving Gordon lots of undivided attention. I needed the time to nurse my sore tummy afterall. Ate mostly porridge and soups. I went and bought 4 boxes of Brand's Essence of Chicken and have been taking two bottles a day to help with the recovery process.
We went to my sis's house at 1.30pm on Saturday as it's my niece's birthday party. Gordon as usual had a great time running up and down the staircase. Actually i like going over there as my nieces will play and take care of Gordon for me. It was a last minute thingy and i did not even have the time to go get a present for my niece. Will make it up to her next time.
We had to leave early at 4pm though the party supposed to end at 5pm. There's another round of wedding dinner to attend later and i had to get Gordon to take a nap. So, went home and spent a frustrating half an hour getting him to take a nap.
Saturday night's wedding dinner was a pretty one with lots of ribbons and balloons all over the place. Luckily Gordon had a short nap earlier. If not, he'd be pretty cranky throughout. My appetite's back, so, at least i got to eat this time. We left with some balloons tied to a beer can for a very pleased Gordon.
With so many parties and wedding dinners, this month pretty much pok-kai already.
Pssst: Was supposed to post this up yesterday. But then, hubby hogged the pc for the ENTIRE day playing Star Wars..... damn sian....
