The countdown ticker now says only 233 days to go, phew....
Yes, many of you guessed it right. Those numbers you all see at the top left of my posts are the number of days starting from my last period and i started counting from the day i first missed it. It fluctuates, so, i just cannot be sure. With Gordon, i tested at day 45 and it still turned out negative. I waited till day 60 for a second testing for a very anticipated positive reading. Glad it turned out right. And so did this test.
Pregnancy dont come easy for me. Gordon took me about 7 years to conceive. I had a Dermoid cyst removed when i turned 21. That surgery had my right ovary removed as well, so, i'm left with only one functioning ovary. Couple that with the kind of hectic lifestyle we led back in KL where we slaved almost non-stop did not help much either. What more when what we ate was mostly crap. So, i was nutritionally deficient, and naturally, my health and body suffered. How to conceive?
So, we came back to Ipoh, where life is more serene. I searched for ways to make my body more healthy to sustain a pregnancy. I'm not the kind who resort to invasive medical methods to conceive, I strongly believe the fact if we are nutritionally sufficient, our body can do wonders for us. I once had Clomid before and i did not like the side-effects it gave me and ditched it. The only invasive thing i ever had was a Hysterosalpingogram to check for blocked fallopian tubes. And thank god that turned out fine for me. I may write more on how i conceived Gordon and my current baby in another post some other time.
I got pregnant again when Gordon turned 13months. He was teething and still being breastfed. I had no idea i was pregnant then. Breastmilk supply dwindled drastically and Gordon was pretty cranky too. Maybe due to the change in supply and taste, plus his teething discomfort. Myself also wasnt feeling too good. I did take some supplements to try to enhance milk supply, unbeknownst to me that it harmed my lil baby in the process. I lost my second baby at 8 weeks; a week right after i confirmed its existence. Maybe i just wasnt physically ready for another child then.
Right now, i just want to enjoy mysecond third pregnancy. I'm taking things very easy now. I hardly do any housework. But i did mop the floor last night. Apart from that, i'll rest a lot till after my 1st trimester. That means no more naked pole-dancing for me for the time being. I thank all my well-wishers who dropped by. Looking at the countdown ticker at the top of my blog, it says: 233 days to go today. I'm due in July 2006. That's like another 8 months away, k.
I'm not too particular of the baby's gender. Being conservative chinese, i'm really really lucky and blessed for getting Gordon as a first child. Everybody love boys. Now, I only want a safe, healthy and perfect baby. I already have names for both gender. My next visit to the doctor will be on 9 Dec to detect baby's heartbeat. I'll most probably spend my afternoons at my mom's house. That'll give me more time to myself and Gordon will have a happy time. More later...

I didn't know you had a tough time concieving Gordon, and lost one in miscarriage.
It took me 6yrs and 1 miscarriage to get Zara (I blogged about it), I tried all kinds of method, intrusive and drugs etc.. finally it was change of lifestyle and a chinese doctor that helped.
Now I'm working on #2, not sure how long I'll take to concieve though. Aigh.

Do you go to the lamaze classes during your pregnancy last time? Do they recommend our national sport 'The Squat' for easy labor?
All the best for your pregnancy again and remember to post some ultrasound photos in your blog too.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Anyway congratulation on your pregnancy. My first baby is due in August. Like you, i don't really care the gender of the baby as long the baby is healthy and safe.
Hot mama - i like your profile pic with baby's foot. Yup, as long as baby's healthy and safe, that's all that matters. And i'm also happy that Gordon now can have someone to play and grow up with.
