OMFG!! Hamburger = Mum-mum..??
I did my usual round of reading with Gordon before i put him to bed just now. I sat cross-legged on the bed with him on my legs. We were doing A - aeroplane (hold his right hand and points to picture of aeroplane), B - ball, C - chair, D - dress, E - elephant, F - frog, G - guitar, H - hamburger.... when he looked up at me, yanked his hand from mine, and pointed happily at the hamburger saying; "Mum-mum ah".
Hamburger = mum-mum
OMFG!! Mother of all Horrors!! Stupid McDonkey's tv ads really does work to some extend. Gordon doesnt talk much. In fact, he hardly talks except for the occasional emergency "MAMA" when he needs something done.
How should i react? Of course i'm happy that he's telling me that that's food. "Yes, baby. That's mum-mum, there's bread, cheese, meat and vegetable..." On the other hand, is "hamburger" the only recognisable item to him? That scale-tipping-cholesterol-laden piece of junk.
There are so many other pics on the page and all he can tell me is hamburger = "mum-mum"?
I'm not going to let him watch so much tv ads from now onwards. Must pay more attention to him and get him to learn more words.
Now , where are those flash cards...........
