Why is Gordon so cranky these days?
Is there any grain of truth as to why they call two year olds "Terrible Two"?
Gordon been rather cranky lately and i dont know why. I know that these few days' timing's a bit off for him. He's becoming quite demanding and throws a tantrum whenever he cant get his way. Usually, i'll just ask him to lead me to what he wanted to take or go to. But now, he'll just stand next to me saying "jiji jiji jiji...." and tugging at my hands; not going any where.
And if someone reprimands him for being naughty, like "no, no", he'll run to me and hit me.
Recently, he's been waking up in the middle of the night crying inconsolably. Usually, i'll check his nappy, give him a sip of water, show him some videos on the handphone and sing him back to slumberland. That's about it.
I went to bed at about 2am this morning. My darling woke up crying again at 5am. Ok, so i changed his nappy and even made him milk to which he declined. He's been crying non-stop for about 15 to 20 minutes. Papa also failed to console him when i went to make him his milk.
This lil fella of mine likes to sleep on my comforter folded up 3 times into the size of a baby mattress in bed. I usually remove it when he's asleep and he's alright with it. Sometimes, he'll roll over and snuggle up to sleep between my legs on the comforter.
But last night, everything failed to work; nappy change and all. So, i wrapped him up in the comforter and he toned down a bit. So, in the end, i folded up my comforter again and he dozed off immediately.
Sigh, it's gonna be the beginning of yet another pattern, i guess. Think it's time i buy myself a brand new blankie to keep my sanity in check....
What do you moms and dads out there do when your toddler cries at night?

When Justin's on sleeping strike, I'll just give him comfort nursing. If he still refuses, then I'll get up and play with him until he's totally tired and knocks off!
gordon ditched my boobs at 13mths, ;(. dun really know wat he wants when he wakes up??
