Bought these UNME school bags years ago for the boys. They are still using them. Red bag is into its 4th year of service, black and yellow bags into their 3rd. Though kinda pricey, they're well made and durable. Of cos, i make sure my kids take care of them by not dragging their bags on the floor. Hope they last as long as possible.

I'm sure a lot of moms and dads picking up their kids after school would have noticed a lady with a trolley bag selling yakult near the school. Nothing against her, but i hate it when my kid just want to drag me over to buy a bottle. If i dont buy for my kid, those sei8phor silais will say i'm stingy. If i buy, it'll turn into a hard-to-break habit for my kid. Not to mention extra expenditure too if it happens on a daily basis. Not only that, it's also a waste of time trying to get my kid back to the car. She even drops by when it rains! So, now you know how much i detest the yakult lady la, ok.

Laptop USB Cooling Fan

I bought myself a new usb cooling fan for my 3.5yo Benq laptop. I used to hate working on my laptop as it emitted a constant loud whirring sound which drives me crazy. I guess it’s due to the internal fan working really hard to prevent the laptop from over-heating.

Last week, i had it reformatted and installed with Windows 7 Home Basic. It’s good enough for me as i only use this laptop for blogging. Time i get back to doing something that i used to be good at, lol.

Coming back to my cooling fan, mine has a large fan at the centre, unlike the ones that has two smaller fans on each side. It also has a blue light that comes on once i plug it to my usb port. My keyboard used to feel really hot after some time, but after using the cooling fan, it’s “cool”, haha. Both my palms no longer sweat due to the heat.

This is by far the best thing that i’ve bought for my laptop. I believe this small little investment will even extend my laptop’s lifespan, lol. Great as i really do not want to buy a new one so soon. If you dont have one, hurry up and go buy usb cooling fan.

Was at a dinner-talk event held at Tong Hoi Chinese Restaurant Ipoh Garden last night with hubby. And uknowat, when the dishes start arriving, there's no common spoon on the serving plates. If not for the pot of chicken with lots of gravy and a ladle in it, i dont think i'll be eating at all. Oh, c'mon. Common spoon also dowan to give meh. How to expect a whole table of strangers to sit and eat together worr.

They make good money and oh, have "normal" families. I dont think i'll object at all if my son wants to take a course at a Cosmetology school. What say you? Oh, that's me flying a kite my kids brought back from some other kids whilst we were at the park a few weeks ago. They dont know how to fly it so i flew it for them. When i was about their age, i'm already making and flying my own kites. I was so glad i could still fly one effortlessly. Oh, of cos, the strong wind helped. About a week ago, i was feeling so down that i even contemplated moving out of this house. The old folks are proving to be a real pain in the neck lately. Why, just why, must old folks be such a bunch of difficult people to live with. They are just so discontented with life and the people around them. At times, i do feel as though i'm living in a pressure cooker.

After more than a decade here, i am seriously thinking of moving back to KL and start all over again. Having said all these, i guess my life is still better than my friend, who has to deal with a very bad-tempered MIL with epileptic seizures every now and then. She's the only living with her as her hubby is on contract overseas and cant be home till the following Christmas.

I've been doing quite a bit of baking lately. My sis bought me a big 55L electric oven for my birthday last month. Isnt she the greatest sis on earth, lol. Oh yeah, we're pretty close. I'm having fun playing with my bff's Samsung Galaxy Tab. She was over here with her daughter for a baking session and left it behind for me. Nice, eh. Dont be jealous, k. Getting married? Gonna live with your hubby's folks? Unless your tolerance is at my Godly level, i suggest you dont. No matter how much the pros outweighs the cons, aitelyu, it'll just put a strain on your relationship over time. As people grow old, their attitude towards life and the people closest (physically) to them usually goes downhill. They have nothing else to kill time with except to pick on everything that you do or say. If they have daughters, you are nothing compared to them. I only have one treatment for discontented old folks like these. And that's to ignore them entirely. Somehow, it restores my sanity and makes the minutes tick by much more bearable. Really beyond me why some people can live their remaining days on earth surrounded by such misery.

I came back into the room to find the newly crocheted and stuffed amigurumi helmet pig taking a dip in my freshly brewed tea. I asked and #2 told me kor-kor did that. I got mad and scolded him. Papa got to know about it and spanked him.

Of course, he cried. He then walked up to me with the cane and told me to punish him for being naughty. My heart melted and i told him it's ok as he's learnt his lesson. Abuthen, my kid was adamant that i punish him and offered me his palm; something that i've never managed to get him to do.

And so, i piakked him lightly a few times but he insisted that i hit harder. I pretended to do so. He cried with huge blobs of tears rolling down his cheeks and even said, "Mama's angry". I told him yes, i was angry but as long as he doesnt repeat the same thing, it's ok. Guess my kid has made another progress and grown up a bit after today's incident.

Gordon has been waking up with sinus problems for quite some time already. 5 year old girl hit by a horse at the beach

Just now, i read the news about a 5 year old little girl who was hit-and-run victim. The thing is, she wasnt hit by a vehicle. It's a horse, ridden by someone who's running away from some authorities by the beach. The poor little was building sandcastles with her 12 year old sister and both girls were stunned to run away when they saw a horse galloping their way. I really do hope harsh penalty will be meted out to the rider for negligence. Put him behind bars. Pray the little girl survive the ordeal.

I gotta go steam some fish now. Will have to get it ready by 4pm. My big kid has tuition from 4 to 6 this evening. It's a good time to go visit my MIL at the convalescent home during those two hours. When she was still at the hospital, i had to walk past the maternity ward each time i go visit her. Once, i saw a newborn there with a cleft lip. Sometimes, words just fail me as to why people can be such a ~~dumb~~ ~~bitchy~~ dumb bitch. You know what happened yesterday? My SIL came over with two family pics. One is of my in-laws and them 6 siblings. The other is of the whole clan, BUT, without hubby, myself and our two kids. Now, please tell me, what's the meaning of a family pic? If one "living" family member is missing from that pic, it's not a complete family pic. Moreover, that pic was dated 2008. We did take one this year during CNY but she chose not to bring that over citing it's not nice. CHIPET!! You come and place a family pic in our house without us in it and you feel it's ok? What if it's the other way round? But even if i did, it's RIGHT cos it's MY house. Dont you agree that it's a direct insult to hubby, myself and our two little ones. We're not dead la, ok. She claimed that it's to make my FIL happy as my MIL is now hospitalised, blah, blah, blah. Who aint sad at this moment la, ok. But please have some brains and dont play filial games at our expense. I have a friend who's very worried that the Topamax she's taking may cause cleft lips, or cleft palate in babies. She's considering getting pregnant next year. I got a piece of good news today. My niece got a fully sponsored scholarship to study Engineering in France. Isnt she a lucky gal. It really does pay to be a straight A student, eh. According to my sis, my niece will have to undergo 2 years of prep school locally before leaving for France. She'll have to be there for 5 years. My God.... another 7 years of studies. That's a long time, man. I'll be so old by the time she graduates, lol. Just now, a close friend messaged me on MSN and told me she found a Westminster beauty school for her gal too. Mil is still at the hospital and according to my FIL, she may need to undergo another operation to clear the pus from the previous opsite. My heart goees out to everyon ein the family. I cant do anything except help take care of my FIL's daily needs at home. He's already in his 70s and still has to worry so much. In life, this is actually a time when one is having a good time with their loved ones, or going for long holidays abroad. If you ever happen to stumble across this post, then please do say a prayer for my MIL. Pray that she gets past this hurdle and come home soon. Everyone misses her so much.

It's a month since my MIL had her stomach operated upon. She's since gone for two checkups. The last one was a few days back. She's feeling much better now and there's color on her cheeks. I only hear her whine about her lack of energy. Well, i told her to walk around more and do some light chores around the house like laundry and gardening. Working from home isnt as blissful as you think it is. People whom i live with cannot understand the fact that i do not like to be disturbed every hour or so to do things that's NOT CONTRIBUTING TO MY RICEBOWL. Where work is concerned, it is for money. If not, i wont term it as work. There are a few things that i do for money. I blog for money, i knit/crochet for money. And when i'm doing those things, i simply do not want to be disturbed. My ikea solar table lamp and the rechargeable led emergency light that's attached to the bedroom fan has once again helped lower our household's electricity bill further. The initial monthly savings may not be significant. But, calculated over a course of 12 months, the amount saved can be used towards another annual bill payment. With the ever rising cost of living, i will keep looking for more ways to reduce household expenses. Next on my list is to axe off Streamyx and use my existing Maxis broadband. That'll be another Rm1056 saved.

On the way to the car yesterday, i bumped into a friend. She was all made-up, looking more like a clown with her heavy make-up. It's rather garish especially under the bright sunlight. Geee... wonder how some people can walk about in such heavy make-up. I have a friend whose daughter attended a beauty course at this Regency Beauty Institute. When i went to fetch him from school, he also sported a swollen cheek. I've ordered an investigation into how that happened. Looks like his class teacher has a lot of interrogation to do.

I headed straight for the kitchen as soon as i step foot into the house after having recess with my kid. As my MIL had already told me what to cook for tonight's dinner, i just had to wok away. All the ingredients have been prepared earlier. She's been taking care of the family's meals for such a long time. Moreover, she cooked for me during my confinement period twice. Saved me a lot of money by not having to hire a confinement lady. There's no way to repay her for the unconditional love and care towards myself and the kids. Now that she's always not well, it's my duty to make sure there's food for both my in-laws. They cannot be around forever.

I woke up with a dreadful pain at the back of my arm, right below the shoulder. Oh man, i'm usually not the kind that whines over slight pain, but this is really a bit way over the "bearable" category. I had a bad pain at the left shoulder blade sometime last month, but that went away on its own a few weeks later. I used to be able to stretch my left hand all the way up my back till i can touch the nape of my neck, but since the shoulder blade pain, i've not been able to do so without feeling a stabbing pain each time.

Two days ago, i tried stretching my left hand up my back during bath time, but stopped short when i started to feel pain. The stabbing pain came when i opened my eyes this morning. I was sleeping on my left, which exacerbated the pain overnight. I applied liquid analgesic as soon as i woke up (not helping also). Now, i'm using a nappy cloth as a make-shift arm sling to lessen the movement as i go around my daily chores. Pray the pain goes away on its own soon.

Got fed up with the old fan croaking away each time it's turned on. So, went and bought this Alpha brand five-blade fan with led emergency light. Now, the kids wont scream whenever the power supply gets cut off during a thunderstorm. The led emergency light provides just enough brightness to let me work at the pc when the kids are sleeping too. This is something that i've been looking for for a long long time. Am very happy with my purchase. Will save me a lot off my electricity bill in the long run too.

Pumping air at the gas station

I really do hate when i drive up to pump up my car tyres at the gas station, and there are a few more cars following right behind me. As i'm not driving my own car, it's also a hassle for me as i tend to forget what's the right tyre pressure for my MIL's car. I gotta read the tiny fonts on the sticker at the driver's door and then figure the right pressure for the tyres.

The things is most of the cars are usually in a hurry and some will resort to honking. You say rude or not. Just now, the man who arrived by motorcycle even had the cheek to walk up to the pump, cross his arms across his chest and give me that "hurry up, will you" look. This pissed me off so much that i decided to take my own sweet time at the pump, much to everyone else's chagrin, lol.

My time is just as important as yours. If you are so impatient, then buzz off to another gas station. I heck care. And oh, there's a water tap right there at the pump too. Had a nice time scrubbing my hands squeaky clean after that too. Ahhhh.... dont piss me off in the morning, ok.

Homework starts tonight

I got quite a lot done with the few short hours i have tonight. Managed to get Gordon started on his homework by 8pm. As usual, he can never do it on his own no matter how simple it is. I still gotta sit beside him with the cane in order to get him to finish his writing. This has to be done at night as i dont want him to waste time with trivial stuffs like writing during tuition in the morning. I want him to finish the rest of the homework that i cant help him with over there.

I found his class timetable pasted into his homework notebook. Thank god i checked the inner page. If not, he might have to lug all his books to school tomorrow. As he's already in Std 2, i taught him how to pack his books for next day's lessons. I guess he can do that on his own by next week. *makes mental note to paste a blown-up version of the timetable on the wall*

I promised the boys i'd read with them before bed. But since bedtime got delayed by 30 minutes, i read them one page in bed instead. It's a BM storybook. Though my boys dont understand BM much, it's good to get them started with the storybook. I have two, gifts from their Penang aunt. Gordon read out loud with his usual gwailow slang, with Malcolm echoing his every sukukata, lol. I helped him with the more difficult words and read the whole page for them before turning the lights off. Both in dreamland in less than 10 minutes time. I'm sleepy too.....

Back-to-school routine

No matter how early i get up, i'm still stuck in between tuition hours, and probably, recess again. Much as i want Gordon to be more independent, i guess he still needs me for the first few weeks for recess. If not, my kid will most likely wait there at the gates for me to open his food container for him.

Now, i hope the school authorities will grant me the permission to do the same as before. If not, i may have to stand at the gates like the rest of the parents out there. I wont know until the following week as first week is usually chaotic with the first graders in. Moreover, the asst. headmaster has been transferred to another school and i may have to deal with another person.

Oh well... got lots to investigate this week!!!

School holidays almost over....

The long school holidays came and went almost all too quickly. I got to do a lot with the boys this time. I've been very busy knitting toys for them both, and also for my friends. They ordered those knitted toys from me as Christmas gifts. Well, today is already Christmas Eve. Have you started cooking up a storm yet? Though we dont celebrate Christmas in this household, i do however, play some Christmas Carols on my computer for the kids to listen to.

School reopens in about ten days time. In a way, i'm also glad i sent my elder kid for holiday classes. If not, he may forget everything that he's learned over the months this year. Yesterday, hubby sent me to the bookstore to buy some last-minute back-to-school items. I'll have to start wrapping his school textbooks soon. The number of books are almost the same for next year. He will still need to carry two bags to school as usual.

Sigh, when will the school install Lockers for the schoolkids. School Lockers make life easier for everyone. I still think kids ought to be spared from all the weight of those heavy text books. It's so bad for the development of their backbone, dont you think so. Well, if you are a school authority, i think it's time you take a look at these Lockers for sale. In the blink of an eye, the whole of year 2010 is down to its last 30 days. Here where i live, we're into the first dozen days of the long year end school holidays. So far, the kids are behaving well. Gordon just started his holiday classes this Monday. Only my preschooler is home with me all the time. He's a fine kid but quite demanding. Yesterday, he requested that i buy him a toy fishing set. Well, he's a lucky kid as he has a mom who's good at crafting. I told him he's such a big boy now and he can help me make one instead of buying one from the store. That got him all excited and the both of us had a lot of fun making a toy fishing set together. And in about half and hour, he got to play with his new toy fishing set without having to leave the house nor spend a single dime.

Being a WAHM or work-at-home-mom isnt really easy at all. With the kids home all day long, i have to come up with things to keep them occupied. i cant be making things with them all the time, right. Gordon has a little homework to do each day. That will keep him occupied. He also loves to watch DVDs and i allow him to do so after he's finished his homework. As for Malcolm, he's at that stage where he wants to pry the computer from me. He's a fast learner and loves to explore the internet a lot. Year End Holidays Just Started!!!!

The long year end school holidays just started. Are you taking your kids anywhere this holiday? Me, i'm staying home with them as hubby is up to his neck in projects. Good also, as that means he is busy making money, lol. I've already enrolled the big one for holiday classes in December. I really need to have a few hours to myself each day, k. If not, i'll surely go crazy having to mind two kids 24/7. For many, the new school term starts next January. But for others like my niece, their secondary education just ended. Now, they have to think of what to do, or what course to take up next. My neighbor's daughter will be going to a cosmetology school in Phoenix. What about yours? You know, those goons that drop by my house every now and then, they really do the darndest things. And the latest that i've discovered is this:

They use my non-stick cookware with the normal metal wok spatula. They must think non-stick coatings are invincible. My non-stick frying pan now spots dents on the sides.

After using, they place it back onto the rack. They must think non-stick cookware are self-cleaning too.

Of RON95 and RON97

A friend told me she just switched to RON97 recently. She claims that her car performs better than when she was using RON95. When i first bought my Alza half a year ago, i also asked the saleslady whether should i use RON97 or RON95. She says mine's okay with the latter. According to some "reliable source", cars nowadays catch fire easily even during minor collision. This is due to the fact that RON95 has a higher amount of "undisclosed cheap, but highly flammable additive" in it, hence its lower selling price. Just when i want to switch to RON97, its price rose by another 5 cents, sigh. Looks like my plan to buy a gold bullion every now and then remains a dream. Better to have a safer driving experience than invest in gold bullion now i guess. Cordless irons pros and cons

I have to use my Panasonic cordless iron again as my Philips iron died on me last Thursday. Hubby had to leave for KL again and as usual, he asked me to iron his shirts for him. Took me more than half and hour just to iron 5 shirts, or was it 6, i forgot.

Now, if you have to iron just a shirt or two each day, a cordless iron will be a fine appliance to use. As it's cordless, the "tail" wont get in the way of your ironing. Moreover, you can get into the difficult corners easily. You also get a lot of "wahhh... cordless iron worrr" whenever someone sees you using it.

The downside to using a cordless iron:

1) Takes time to heat up the hot-plate. So, you stand there like a "dunggu" waiting, and waiting.

2) Cools down fast, especially when you have the steamer on. Sometimes, a few charges are needed just to iron a man's shirt.

3) You cant just run it across the fabric like you would with an ordinary iron. You have to do it slowly for a smooth job thus wasting time.

As i was busy at the bookstore this noon, hubby went to the goldsmith's nearby. He doesnt believe me when i told him that price of gold has shot up to almost Rm150/gm. Later on, i asked him if he bought me anything or not and he said that he must be really out of his mind to buy any gold jewelry now, lol. He even suggested that i go sell ours off now for a profit, haha. Oh yes, i will do that. I will sell all his off first, then pocket the money. Vacuum day

I came back right after recess today. The firs thing i did was to take the ladder and vacuum cleaner into the room. I vacuumed the top of the fan blades, opened up the air-cond and sucked it clean. Then, vacuumed the tops of the cupboards too. No more energy for the walls, and ceiling. Will have to leave those for another session. Guess after this, my room's dust level will be down by five zillion counts. Oh yes, the ionizer is on at top speed now. Will further clean up the room's airborne particulate matters in a few hours time. Clean air-cond = colder room. Less dust = healthier living.

Came across one of her books at the bookstore and just had to buy it back despite not understanding a word of what's written in it. It's in Chinese. But, being the crafter that i am, i'll figure those patterns out sooner or later. Now, just have to learn more about what fabrics to use and where to buy Tilda fabrics online. Am so glad that holidays is just a few short weeks away. Hope i can get my Tilda journey going by the start of the holidays.

Well, though it's not very safe to wear gold jewelry on the streets these days, i do like their glitter. Moreover, gold suits my skin tone very much. Hubby and i got invited to some property launching event. I guess we'll just entertain his friends and drop by the site for a short while. Well, property prices have sky-rocketed so much. It's only October with Halloween just round the corner. My kids dont know what Halloween is nor care about all the tricks and treats. Their only association with Halloween is through the Facebook games they get to play with once in a while, lol.Thank god they did not ask me to carve pumpkins nor make witch hats for them, lol. My brooms are all safely right where they belong.

Oh, this post has got nothing to do with Halloween at all. Halloween is only used to measure the how far away Christmas is from it. And to my kids, Christmas only means one thing. Gingerbreadman, LOL!!!! Reason being, each time either of them ask me to bake him a Gingerbreadman cookie, i'll tell him to wait till Christmas first. Yeah, my bad, i know. And since last week, the demands have started to stream out of their mouths with one echoing the other.......

My, my... i have one idiot-proof Gingerbreadman cookie recipe on hand. I also have the Gingerbreadman cookie cutters all lined up in their respective boxes, never been touched. Well, that's just because i bought each of them lots of Gingerbreadman cookies from Coffee Bean last year. They stopped bugging me to bake them Gingerbreadman cookies after that, phew....

Ok, since school holidays is only a few short weeks away, it's also time i start clearing stuffs from the house to make room for the tonnes of wateva i'll be buying to keep them busy during the long hols ahead. Wedding Week

I was surprised that both my kids were quite well-behaved during my niece's wedding dinner last Saturday. Boy, they've grown up so much. Last time, i really dread taking them out to formal events. Gordon was blissful with his favourite gadget, the PSP, in hand. Malcolm just wanted to tag beside hubby all the time. That gave me time to "eat" properly, lol. The actual "tea ceremony" will be held this Saturday morning. Just hope the kids will be good boys and let me drink my tea in peace. We didnt get my niece any gold jewelry what with the recent high price of gold. My sis, sister-in-law and i shared a crystal jewelry set for her. It's gorgeous but i forgot to take a pic of it. Hubby brought back some new Skin Care Products for me to try out. I also found some Acne Products in his bag, but those are not for me. The acne on my face have stopped appearing. I've been plagued with bad skin since for more than a year. Hubby told me it could have been due to hormonal changes. Well, that's part of being a woman. We have to live with things like bad skin, bad mood, and more, sigh.

My kid's school will be conducting tuition classes during the start of the long school holidays till mid-Dec. Classes commence from 7.30am till noon. I went to bed early last night and woke up around 6.30am. I felt like dying. Much as i like to send him over, the early hours just arent favorable to me. Play dead

I went to take a rest as i've not been well since this morning. The kids were playing by themselves at the living hall. The kids will come into the room to check on me every now and then. I will usually respond to them even when i'm taking a rest. But just now, i pretended to be in deep sleep or simply play dead. Gordon came into the room to call me. Getting no response from me, he got restless. He walked in and out of the room, he examined my eyes, kissed me, tugged at my hands, lifted one, only to see it fall lifelessly back onto the bed. He laid next to me and wrapped my hand around him like what i usually do during bedtime. He hugged me, calling me in a worried tone all the while. Last, he tried to open up the big comforter and pulled it over me and slept beside me to keep me warm. Despite not knowing what else he could do, at least, he tried to make me comfortable. Aint he sweet. And he was so so relieved when i finally open my eyes. Ya. I guess i can rely on him to take care of me when i'm frail and old next time, lol.

I'm no fan of sports channels on Astro

Last night, Eric and i had a nice chat on MSN. He asked me why i've stopped subscribing to Astro. Well, since i no longer have time to watch TV after i've had my babies, i dont see any reason why i have to pay them a hundred bucks for nothing. Let me do some calculations now. My kid is already 7 years old. (7 x 12)100 = 8400. See, i've saved myself at least a cool 8400 bucks over the course of 7 years of not subscribing to pay tv. Moreover, i'm still forced to watch crappy advertisements though i'm paying for the channels. I might as well turn the tv on instead, right.

In a way, i'm glad that hubby isnt a sports fan. Most of the guys i know subscribe to Astro just for the endless sports they can watch on Astro like soccer and golf. I'm not into balls, lol. So, Astro or no Astro doesnt make much of a difference to me. With Astro, they do admit that they do more sports betting online. Geeee... if hubby were to bet on all the sports that he watches, i wonder how our finances will be like now. He's lousy at predicting winners, lol. A few friends of mine lost a lot of money on football betting during the recent World Cup.

My SIL brought coffee-flavored JJ Cake over. Good as it's lunch hour and my kids are famished, lol. I dont have much time on hand to feed them now as i have a lot of posts to publish in the next two hours. They can have all the cake they want now. The Friday that was

It's Friday. No more rushing here there everywhere for the next two days. Ahhhhh.... bliss. I also got a lot of weekend chores done tonight. I washed all of Gordon's uniforms, and also the piled up dairty clothes. All on the clothes rack now. Things like tumblers and food containers are all washed. Leaving only the shoes for when i feel like washing it, lol. He still have another pair for next week.

Now, i've already taken out Gordon's homework for the week. All ready for him to finish. Poor boy. So slow at his writing. Final exam is two weeks away. I have to make good use of every minute there is to help him score. I'm happy as long as my boy improves, i'm one happy mama. Ok, gotta go put those two rascals to bed. More posts to write for the next 20 hours :)

OMG, there's a tonne of letter for me to sort through the moment i reached home. Most of them from credit card companies. I've already canceled off most of those credit cards. They are a major financial threat, lol. Anyway, they've already out-lived their purpose. So, no point maintaining them. With the savings i get from not using those credit cards, i can buy myself a gold bullion or two every year. I heard that gold is at its higher lately. How many of you remove your wrist watch when you type on the laptop? Am i the only who does that? I find that it gets in the way of my typing. So, i've got no choice but to take the watch off. Half the time, i forget to wear it again, lol. That's ok as i'm not the kind of person that feels naked without a watch. I only started wearing watches again last year. I stopped wearing watches for a long time after my kids were born as i was paranoid about the watch strap scratching their tender skin, haha. Those were the days. Just now i came across this Ulysse Nardin Macho Palladium. I've not bought hubby anything for his birthday last week. I wonder if he likes the watch or not. What do you think? Nice?

I missed a rare opportunity to snap a pic of my 4 year old kid this noon. As he was entering the kindy's compound, his classmate, a pretty gal, ran up to him and held his hands. Together, hand-in-hand, they strolled into the school. It's so cute watching them paused to look at each other and chat a little. My phone was in the car and i had to rush my 7 year old off to school. Lesson learned. Must hang phone on neck at all times, LOL!!!!!

There's no free wifi over at the Perodua Service center. No choice but to remove and my sim card from the phone and plug in the Huawei 3g modem. Better also since i dont have to worry about the battery dying on me. Moreover, it's safer to use the Huawei modem when i need to blog for over an hour. The batteries in both my O2 and Nokia N82 have expanded due to the heat emitted from using the phones as a modem. I fear if i continue using them, they'll errr... explode. Will they? I seriously think so :p

Last weekend, i took my mom to Parkson as she wanted to buy something for my niece. She was rather surprised to find young girls and boys hauling luggage all over the place. They all had full make-up on their face too. I told her there's a new beauty school on the first floor and those must be the students taking a beauty course there. Mom cannot accept the fact that boys are taking beauty course these days. I told here times have changed. Many famous Hollywood make-up artists happen to be male too!!! Is it me or is the weather not so hot these days. I find that my bedroom feels cooler at night lately. The air-cond temperature is still at 24 deg Celcius. If hubby is away, i'll turn the air-cond off around 2 or 3am when the room is at its coolest. Then sleep with the fan on low. Can last us till morning around 8. This way, can save on electricity bill or not? Wont know till the next bill comes.

My Perodua Alza's second service

Am at the Perodua Service center now. It's my Alza's second service and i hope after this service, my fuel consumption can be lowered. Its current reading is at 11.9l/100km. Still high lah, ok. I'll be happy if it's around 8l/100km, lol. I believe not muchluck lah since i use it mainly for town driving. With so many traffic lights to pass through on the way to school, i dont think i'll get any kinda reduction in fuel consumption. But the, compared to the Wira, it's still a lot of savings. If i dont have to service the car loan, even more savings, lol. When will i ever get to drive a car that i do not have to pay for, with fuel and maintenance taken care of?????? Whan la?????

Hubby has taken Malcolm out to Parkson to buy Cranberry juice for his dad. He's having Urinary Tract Infection and Cranberry juice is very effective in treating UTI. Hope he stays out long enough for me to finish all my posts. Gordon has been very cranky the whole week. He just refuse to do his homework and i dont think i have the patience to deal with him till i'm done with all my posts. After that i still need to help a friend buy gold bars online. He made some money in the stock market and am diversifying his investment into gold. Wah... so rich!!!! If i have extra money now, i also want to invest in gold bars. Too bad.... not now, not in the near future either. But if you have lots of idle cash on hand, you can go ahead and buy buy gold bars. Definitely better than fixed deposit.

Well, i still have about half an hour to go before i gotta pack up my things and head back to school. Guess i can still managed a dozen posts or so, lol. It's weekend again and i wont get much done with the two kids running around me. I'm lucky as hubby's back to help me manage them both. The pendant that i'm wearing now is missing a diamond. I've no idea how it came off. Both hubby and i are wearing the same pendant with our names engraved at the back of it. We've been wearing them for a long time. I can always send it back to the jeweler's to have it replaced with a new one. Let's see what hubby says. I remember him telling me he wants to buy a new set of pendants some time back.

I dont think i want a pendant with diamonds on it next time. If one goes missing, i have to spend some money to get it replaced. Those diamonds are not expensive as they are tiny ones. But if i dont have it replaced, i cant wear the pendant anymore. That's a waste of money, right. Last week, i was doing some random surfing and came across this website selling Murano Glass items. A close friend told me she now wants to go back to work in two years to come. Due to her age, she finds it hard to look for a good job. Kissimmee - my next holiday destination

Today is the last day of the school holidays. We didn't go anywhere this time as hubby is very busy with work. he told me once things are better, we can then take the kids for a holiday end of this year. Well, though we didn't get to take the kids anywhere this time, i used the ten days to teach the kids many new things. He needs a lot of guidance with his school work.

Last night, i had a chat with Amy. She told me all about her holiday with the kids at Kissimmee. I checked out her blog and saw the pics she took when she was there with her family. Looks like Kissimmee is a wonderful place for a year end family holiday. She told me to start planning now, lol. There are so many theme parks to explore. My kids will love to visit Walt Disney World Resort and Seaworld Orlando. My big kid is still in love with Mickey And Minnie Mouse.

Amy told me Kissimmee has a lot to offer. Her hubby had a great time at the golf course, the kids enjoyed all the theme parks and she got to do a lot of shopping too. Doesn't it sound like dream holiday for everyone in the family? Amy stayed at the Holiday Inn Main Gate East hotel. She told me it's quite good. Diaries

Oh, i'm not talking about writing diaries or wat. Just that my kid requested for drawing material from me earlier. I'm out of drawing pads and remembered that i have a lot of those diaries/planners/wateva-u-callit stashed in my bookshelf. Neh, those yearly ones from the insurance companies leh. So, took two out for the kids. Red for Malcolm, Black for Gordon. I like it as the diaries come with hard covers which help keep the pages flat. They can now draw and color whenever they like. Anyone here want to get rid of yours faster send them all to me.
